Royal Enfield Hunter 350cc

Recommended Posts

Just returned from this year's motor show in Bangkok.

I quite fancied the royal enfield hunter 350cc.

At 134,000฿ looked good value for money.

My question is have anyone got any

knowledge or feedback on royal Enfield brand, pros and cons etc...

I saw it at Auto Show too. I went Thursday and went again on Friday. The only Royal Enfield I would greatly consider is the Scram411, it consistently gets impressive reviews. Yes, the new Himalayan is promising but they don't even have a price yet.

The best bikes(that I am interested in) I saw at the Auto Show were:

Royal Enfield Scram411 - 176,000 Baht

Triumph Speed 400 - 158,000 Baht

Triumph Scrambler 400x - 180,000 Baht

Honda CBR 500RR - 220,000 Baht

Honda Hornet 500 - 220,000 Baht

A couple of years ago @chrissables did a tour around Thailand on a Royal Enfield.  Following is the link to his tour and it has a link to the first part of the tour as well. He is currently on a tour with a Honda CT-125 but maybe he can give you some feedback on his experience with Royal Enfield since he did a lot of KM.

I have the Classic 350 (same engine)...great bike for the back roads with a very relaxed ride, spares and accessories are cheap and plentiful. It isn't the fastest bike in its class, but it is a joy to ride. Get in touch with your local dealer and get a test ride (all the RE dealers seem to have demo bikes).

Thanks for the feedback.. I seen a used 2023 model with less then 500km on the clock for 99k, I'm very tempted saving of over 30k.

That seems like a great deal, hopefully the owner has looked after it.   But what service would be due after 500km?

Should be in exceptional condition. I'd check fluids and brakes first and then overall body condition.

Tyres etc should still look new.

If you decide to buy then go around the bike yo ensure all nuts/screws etc are still tight.

Good luck !

I've never owned a 400/4 but I have looked at them several times.

My oldest son back in NZ has one, high spec model that red lines around 13000 rpm.  A real screamer.

But the RE is a solid bike.  Been around for years.

Twins are bad enough a  400/4  would be great, singles dumpa  dumpa  dumpa  dumpa  dumpa

4 banger.

Expensive.

Not a RE thing.

So believe it.

Can't really ride a 4x anywhere near to the performance designed.

Except the track.

Which would be real fun.

Honda makes a 4x/650. ? CBR

See them at track days.

And surprisingly the CBR650F is not that expensive.  A 10yr old model can be had for about 150k baht.

That's a lot of bike for the money and a real smooth ride.
