Thai F-16s Conduct Air Patrols As Myanmar MiG-29s Attack Karen Fighters

THE THAI AIR FORCE’S F-16A/B fighters have conducted regular air patrols along the Thai-Myanmar border in Mae Sot district of Tak to literally deter possible infringement of the Myanmar air force’s MiG-29 Fulcrum jets into Thai air space.

The MiG-29s have reportedly conducted air-to-surface strikes on Karen National Liberation Army positions in defence of a Myanmar infantry battalion inside Myawaddy township across the shared border from Mae Sot, prompting the Thai F-16s to scramble over the borderline with regular air patrols to literally keep out the Russian-built fighter jets.

No infringement by any MiG-29s into Thai air space has been reported as yet.

“24/7 all day & night…our Falcons maintain utmost readiness,” reads a message posted today (Apr. 10) on the air force’s website. Falcons refer to General Dynamics F-16A/B Fighting Falcon jets from Wing 4 in Takhli.

The Thai air force has been closely monitoring the war situation inside Myanmar focusing on the possibility of MiG-29s flying into the Thai air space at any given time, either purposely or inadvertently, the air force’s website says.

Watch out Myanmar, Tommy Thai Top Gun is ready to swoop in....

  • Popular Post

The Thai government may be closely monitoring the war in Burma, but the reality is that by remaining neutral and refusing to criticize the Burmese pig generals on any level, they are supporting them.

Hopefully the resistance will prevail, hopefully the Burmese Army will continue to get their butts kicked, and hopefully these incredibly filthy billionaire generals will be exiled from their own nation. May justice prevail, may righteousness prevail, may the genocidal Burmese generals experience a well deserved and well earned pox on themselves, and their own families.

Disgusting...

The Thai hi so are all connected to the Burmese butchers that's why they are 'neutral' because they are considered to be brother's, very sadly the Thai penchant for sitting on the sidelines is well documented.

No stomach for standing up to the illegal surpressors of democracy.

And may their fingers turn to fish hooks and their armpits be infested by the fleas of a thousand camels.

So what will happen when a Mig strays across in to Thai airspace?

F16s gonna shoot it down? force it down?  I doubt it.

But good exercise for the boys in any case.

Be like everyone else. Shoot them down, start a war, then ask the west for money and weapons.

Shooting it down would be a fun thing to witness, never in a million years would Burma considering attacking Thailand at this point in time. They don't have the guts, they like attacking innocent ethnic villagers and raping them while they're at it. That's their style, that's their M.O.

As apposed to figuratively keeping them out?  Good job they made that clear.  🙄

On who's side would they be ?

Could be all just a rouse to buy more fighter jets, I don't trust anything this government does, or a FB by the RTA.

They should get all the tanks out along the boarder just to liven it up,

The one's who pay the most money

It would be great if the resistance forces had some heavier weapons to shoot down one or more of those Migs.

Time for a submarine in the mekong to monitor it all

Myanmar jet enters Thai airspace, prompting evacuations

June 30, 2022

"A Myanmar fighter jet crossed the border into Thailand’s airspace on Thursday, prompting Thai air force jets to scramble and officials to order the evacuation of villages and classrooms, officials said.

The Royal Thai Air Force said it dispatched two F-16 fighters to patrol the area after receiving a report of an aircraft that crossed into Thailand’s airspace while carrying out an attack in Myanmar territory held by an ethnic minority group. It asked the military attaché at the Thai Embassy in Myanmar to convey a warning to Myanmar authorities and work with them to avoid similar incidents in the future." (my bold)

So this time another post-action warning. More disturbing militarily is the apparent lack of early detection by Thailand of the Mig-29 in both instances

Contact Ukraine. Maybe manpads and/or drones to attack government air bases.

As I remember Myanmar government's excuse in a previous Mig-29 infringement of Thai airspace was that their jet bomb run on civilians and insurrection military required it to travel in the direction across the Thai border and not enough airspace to turn back before such incursion. I believe Thailand's response was 'don't do it again.' Thailand didn't make any protest of the Myanmar government's coincidental attack on Myanmar civilians.

Ground-to-air missiles? They may have some, likely stolen from the Myanmar regime. But making them work might be a different matter

Are you expecting competence on the part of the armed forces here? They need practice. Burma would be a great place to start!

If Myanmar were using F16's they probably would force it down........and 'confiscate' it.

As bad as the government and army are here, I am happy they are not bombing areas that voted heavily for Pita!
