Tropicalevo
Not sure if this has been going on for a while or not, but be careful where you park at Fisherman's Village. Police are clamping vehicles there - or they were last night. We had to help some guests out.
Popular Post Tmoney
Yes they've been doing it regularly for some weeks now with bikes on the red and yellow checked pavement area on the village corner, 500 baht to release. My car got clamped last week, NOT on the no parking bit and after the 7/11 but they alleged my car was on the pavement (it was not but one wheel slightly on the sloping bit), 1000 baht fine to release it, I asked for a receipt but was refused. Really? 😉 I was offered and accepted a lift back from the cop shop to my car by the police on a motorbike, I said I don't have a helmet but he said no problem, not needed at night, only daytime!!! Tropicalevo
And not all policemen are bad. My business partner went to pick up the car and was talking to our friendly captain, general, whatever. He said to tell the guests not to park against the red/white hatchings again, and then gave her the 1,000 baht fine back and said - just a warning this time. 1
