I've never been offered an abdominal ultrasound as part of a check up. However, I've never been given a checkup either, other than taking my BP.

They offer 3 basic health check up programs.  #3 includes the ultrasound (item #27), and always seems to be on sale.  Now ฿7900 / $220 USD

The cancer markers aren't that useful, unless like us, we get a check up every year or so, then the first one gives you a baseline to compare any changes.

Nice to know how big the prostate is, as did get a bit larger the one year, but now seems to be constant size, and not much of an issue.  As expand out, and not restricting flow, just a bit of pressure on bladder.

Had fatty liver, but was also 100kg at one time.  Latest CT Scan of full abdomen, didn't show fatty liver, but I'm also only 75 kgs.  Get checked locally now, and even less expensive, though gov't hospital and an all day affair, with results given at later date.  Does save the drive to BKK, though add a visit w/daughter, so not really a special trip for check up.

At the private hosp in BKK, all done before lunch (0830-1030), and no real Q'ing at each station, and report with consultation right after lunch, and copy of report for your records.
