zahabx
Hi I have lived in Thailand all my life and have the PR white book, pink ID card and a blue tabien baan. My partner is non-Thai and was working in Thailand with a work permit. She has quit and I would like to get a long term visa once we are married. Any advice on how I can do this would be appreciated. No agents please, just advice on what I need and where to go. I can do the paperwork myself.
TroubleandGrumpy
You need to give more info. Are you a Thai Citizen - I assume Yes. What country is she a citizen of? How long has she been working in Thailand? How long have you lived together? When are you going to get married? With that info, I think the Visa Expert (Jack) can point you in the right direction/s.
zahabx
No, as mentioned, I am a Thai PR. I have a white book. I am a Singaporean citizen. One of the benefits of being a PR as I have read is being able to apply for an extension of stay for non-Thai family members. I'm looking for advice around this what this visa would be and how I go about it. She is Turkish and has also lived here since she was 11 years old (she is 26 this year). She is here on a work permit and has been working for 2.5 years. We will get married ASAP in the next couple of weeks.
kiwiaussie
You'd be able to excercise an extension of stay under category 19 here: https://www.immigration.go.th/?p=14714 The Thai citizenship FB group is the best place to go for all citizenship and PR related queries. Thank you so much. This is what I was looking for. Would you by any chance know how many days extension she may get as a spouse of a Thai resident?
