Not traveled much in your life then. :coffee1:

But the story is great.

Shouldn't that be travelled?

Maybe you missed your schooling jetting around the globe.

Well done, Casper!

Hope that you are rewarded by good things on your life path.

And that some selfish people may follow your generous example in the future.

I did have a brief encounter with a Scandinavian in Thailand.

I think he was from Norway.

He was bragging about how his country's GDP is higher than my country's GDP.

It is. Norway is a rich country.

But isnt it mostly from fossil fuels?

If we start moving away from fossil fuels, I hope to meet this guy again and flip him the finger.

Someone does a good deed, and straight away we get posts on here saying he must be working here illegally/is a gang member because he has a tattoo etc. Pathetic. And I don't mean him, or the poor guy who got scammed. WTF is it with you people?

See the true colors comming out ..                                                                                                                                                                                                                He's not one of the "mis-matched plaid shorts, plaid shirt, socks and sandles bar stool heroes with 99 Bhat sunglasses crew ?    so he must be a bad apple

I think the "polite" word of the day is Prejudiced

I'll sit down and break bread with this guy ..  and thank him for helping a fellow man .... we need  more people like him

I've got 40 years worth of H.O.G. pins and patches on my leather vest .. sleeved arms, chest and back ..                                                                                              Guess that makes me rotten to the core

"a good deed never goes unpunished" comes to mind, wonder how long it will take the BIB and immigration to delve deeper into his visa and if he has a work permit or not.  Why mention this statement in the first place?

Why would you assume that his visa and working arrangements are anything but legitimate?  Why mention that in the first place?

Maybe he's just American; maybe you missed your schooling that may have explained the different spelling of the two words?

As you will probably find out if you achieve normality.

Just my opinion from reading news reports in the last few months, that we all perhaps need to keep a low profile here in LOS, for a while anyway, being "strangers in a strange land", Lou.  Just my opinion, I may well be wrong.
