Contracts of city clinics are being scrutinized

The Ministry of Public Health in Thailand has pledged to investigate complaints about some of the 200 partner clinics in Bangkok, involved in its universal healthcare coverage plan, also known as the 30-baht scheme. The Vice Minister, Thanakit Jitareerat, announced yesterday that the Department of Health Service Support (DOHSS) and the National Health Security Office (NHSO) will jointly conduct the investigation.

Motorcyclist Dies in Fatal Accident in Sattahip, Poor Lighting Claimed as Cause

A Thai motorbike rider lost his life after he fell off his bike and was run over by a car on Highway 331 in the Chonburi province. The accident happened very early in the morning on June 20th, close to the entryway of the Nong Ta Son village.

Illegal Money Lending Scheme Busted in Pattaya, Three Thai Individuals Arrested

On Tuesday, June 18th, three Thai individuals engaged in an illicit money lending operation were arrested in Pattaya by the Region 2 Police. The arrest was made in a house at Ratanakorn Village 11, on Soi Takian Tia 7, in the Banglamung district, Chonburi province, following a tip from local individuals.
