Despite using Suvarnabhumi since it opened, I've never used a regular taxi from there but always a pre-booked service, a bus and even once a Bolt.  I'll be arriving there this weekend and contemplating using a regular taxi as I don't know of any pre-bookable ones based in my destination area so can anyone confirm/explain the current procedure?

As I understand it:

1)  Go to Level 1.

2)  Find the area for regular taxis and take a ticket from the machine.

3)  Proceed to the lane number shown on the ticket and wait for your ride.

4)  Try to explain your destination to the driver.

5)  Expect to pay the meter reading plus 50 baht for the airport surcharge, plus any tolls, plus 20 baht per suitcase.  My one case will be quite small and I'll have a laptop bag.

I've calculated the cost as just under 1,000 baht which is on a par with Grab.  Is there any reason to use one over the other?  Bolt is significantly less but not so organised from my last experience - any recent users able to comment?

Or best of all, does anyone know any private car companies based in or near Bueng District in Sri Racha?
