Rayong Chemical Factory Fire Confirmed as Arson, Say Police

However, it's known that Win Process Co.’s chemical warehouses were severely damaged by fire on April 22nd, followed by another significant blaze at Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co. Ltd.’s facility on May 9th. These incidents have raised serious concerns about safety and security measures at chemical storage sites in the area.

 

According to Lt. Gen. Thathchai, arrest warrants will soon be issued for five to ten individuals linked to the arson. The suspects include executives responsible for overseeing the businesses at these dangerous chemical storage sites. Thats the 4th in Rayong this year ...all of them ommitting Poisonous Air ....coincedence,i dont think so but anything that deletes AP is welcome in my household ....hopefully a few more coincedences to come in this area ,)?

Yes been a few fires in Rayong recently, but this is not a new fire, it is finally the possible prosecution, after the investigation of the original fire on 22 April, which has flared up a few times.

The owners have also had a couple of fires at a similar factory in Ayutthaya, where police reported finding incendiary devices.

The last report I have seen is from 2 June, when he was remanded in custody at Rayong Central Prison, and had been refused bail. No idea if he has been released, but it took the police several months to locate and catch him.

 

A number of properties linked to him, were also raided early June.

This factory has been shut down years ago and prosecuted for operating illegally.

The report states that people are to be charged with arson, do you really think that insurance companies (these premises were not insured) are going to pay out after a deliberate fire when “the suspects include executives responsible for overseeing the businesses”.

over half of all industria waste in that region is disposed of in sites that are unsuitable. Landfills are toxic and dangerous and apprpriate facilitie are not available so places around the region are loaded with waste that is deadly and inflammable.
