You can get it at the Mahidol Thai travel clinic in Bangkok

I am going to get it there myself in a week or two, prior to travelling back to US.

Thanks, Sheryl. And that's a lot cheaper than £99 in Boots in the UK.

Sheryl, recalled you said earlier that regular booster not indicated if have had multiple prior shots and actual infection. You getting this one because it is new? Also see that new vaccines will be available in US this fall.

The cdc recommends you be on your 10th booster. And no, I’m not even joking

Completely incorrect.

CDC recommendations here

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html#novavax-people-65-older

In summary - completely unvaccinated people are recommended to 1-2 doses of updated vaccines (1 or 2 depending on type, if Novaovax then 2, if Pfizer or Moderna then 1).

People with any prior vaccination, recommended to get 1 dose of an updated vaccine.

When I had Covid in the UK back in late 2022, it was like a weird dose of flu, it knocked me out of action for a week with some very odd dreams, but I soon recovered. I was left, though, with hardly any sense of taste or smell and had lost my appetite. The worst after-effect was the brain fog which prevented me from doing very much at all, it made focusing on anything extremely difficult. That lasted the best part of three weeks, but fortunately it was subsiding before my flight back to Thailand. I was still feeling so weak and uncoordinated, though, that for the first time ever I didn't bring back a bottle of duty free, I just couldn't face the effort of carting it around the airports. My brother, who's almost 7 years older than me, was worse affected, and his long Covid ordeal lasted around four months. I can live with another bout of the virus lasting a week, but I really don't want the long Covid brain fog again. I've seen a number of articles like this one saying that the vaccines provide better protection against long Covid than they do against the illness itself, so I'd really like to get an up-to-date jab to go with the four I've already had.

Post with no real content (but hinting at anti-vax) removed.

The OP's question has been answered, and latest vaccine recommendations have been posted above.

As the thread is now attracting anti-vaccine trolls , it is  closed
