Wild hair idea... Buying a liveaboard raft in Kanchanaburi.

Has anyone ever looked into buying one of those bigass rafts on the river, as a getaway place to stay in Kanchanaburi.  The ones with steel pontoons, covered deck about the size of a hotel room, with a genset and A/C.  Not as a commercial (AirBNB) kind of thing.  For personal use, and friends who may want to borrow it on weekends.

Wondering if it's feasible?  It wouldn't have to be in my name.  I have several Thai friends that I'd trust, and are probably well connected enough to jump any hurdles related to boating.  Of course, mooring fees would be part of the equation, though there's so many of them sitting idle.  I can't imagine the fee would be too stiff.

Okay...  Bash away...  Anyone actually tried it?
