This is a  farce and a sham corruption at its best, i wonder if the thai people know what democracy is

Oh they know all right, they have repeatedly elected parties to form their governments, to see those parties cheated, dissolved or driven out by the military, or have the military forestall the election. At least 5 times this century, and the century is only 1/4 done!

Just cut to the chase and nullify the Election Commission.

It won't change anything. They represent the network they are part of, and the same network will appoint the next EC members anyway.

That's how it works in Thailand. Appointed people are appointed by other appointed people, and they appoint each other.

The Thai power structure really liked the British idea of a "House of Lords" and that is what the Senate actually is.  A way for the people who have power to make sure that only their people continue to hold the reins.  The Senate's nullification of FFP's majority election victory is a glaring example.

What real power does the house of lords have, as far as I know, they can only delay legislation... no real power to make/force changes, very different to the Thai senate
