Residency certificate from the Chamchuri Square Immigration office?

Recommended Posts

Can I get a residency certificate from the Chamchuri Square Immigration office?

Or what about the Imperial World Samrong office?

I need to ne-new my driver's license, live in On Nut and really don't want to go all the way to Chaeng Wathana.

Cheers

Think you will find that you obtain your certificate of residence at CW.

You will need most recent TM47

Advise in this thread along with link to application form

Hi Dr Jack,

I sold a motorcycle to a guy a couple of months ago, and he said he didn't go to CW to get his Certificate, that he got it in town.

it was mailed to him, took two weeks.

Cheers

CW list 2 weeks as guideline process time. They also mail out the COR

I also live in Bangkok. For first 7 years due to frequent travel out of Thailand I could not do a TM47.

I could not obtain certificate of residence.

I tried agents reply "no can do"

Not sure of your friends story.

Interesting, so you never stayed long enough for a 90 day regsitration.

I do have the TM47, and an electicity bill in my name, and blue book for a condo.

My friend is Falang, had his TM47, and said he did not go to CW to get his COR.

I'll dig some more and report back if I get any info.

Think you stated live near bang Chak.

Read report that transport/land office will accept blue book etc there. You could check it out.

Ask Fatboys or BSR bikes agents for better information.

Chatuchak is a no go. You require COR

Only way to obtain a COR at Chamchuri Sguare is if you have an LTR visa or a Business visa issued through that location. All other visa types must obtain the COR through Chaeng Wattana.

Update.

The folks at the Land Transport Office area 3 office won’t accept my condo title as proof of address, I have to have the address certificate from either the Embassy of the Immigration Bureau.

I have to take a training course which apparently is 5 hours!

(My Thai car license is expired for over three years.)

Have you done 90 day reports with CW. That is required for them to issue certificate of residence.

Note some embassies do not provide the equivalent proof of address. USA, AU, UK are examples..

Update: if you have done your TM.30 and can produce the bottom piece (receipt), then Chamchuri Square will issue the Certificate of Residence for 500 baht per letter. It took around 1 hour to issue once documents were in order. I got mine last week.

The OP has not indicated that he has an LTR.

What status do you have in Thailand.

LTR?

What visa type?  I thought Chamchuri was a One Stop, only for visas/WPs tied to the BOI.

But I've been wrong before.  And things do change.
