Ook Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Dear Fellow Asean Now Community Members, I wanted to ask if anyone can share their opinion / feedback on which Thai Embassy /Consulate is the fastest / smoothest and easiest to deal with for applying to a Non-Immigrant (B) Single entry (90 days) visa (reason employment) in neighboring countries (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos or)? FYI, paperwork for this application will comes from BOI... I've heard some Embassies require appointment and long-waiting times. I'd have max 3-5 days that I can be abroad for doing so. Some people said VTE would be the fastest? Any recommendation or recent experiences anyone can share? A zillion thanks again! Ook 1
Crazy Noobie Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 I go to Laos for my VISA run and they are a three business day turn-around. You must make a appointment online. On day one, you will be turning in your paperwork in the am, then day two nothing, and then on day three after 12 noon you pick up your Visa. I checked and Vietnam is the same now too. I believe all Thai Embassy are doing the 3 business day turn-around and you must make a appointment. There is no fast way anymore. When I go to Laos, I have to add a day before and a day after for travel, so it is a five-day thing. You do know, instead of asking your questions from all of us here in the forum, all you have to do is go to the Thai Embassy's website for whatever country you want to go to for the latest info. 2
Popular Post jphasia Posted July 21, 2024 Popular Post Posted July 21, 2024 Well, i just applied and obtained a Non B 90 days visa with documents provided by the BOI in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam few weeks ago. My choice for the consulate of HCMC was because I also working in Vietnam, based in HCMC, so convenient for me. There was no much waiting list for the appointment. I choose a date 2 weeks later when I made the appointment on their website at it convenient for me but i had the possibilities to get it earlier. On the of the visa application, all went smooth. There was only 1 document regarding the company taxes missing. They allowed to ask my company in Thailand to send me this document by email and get it print in the shop nearby and come back to the consulate. Then all done in 45 minutes. The payment (80 USD) must be done in USD only. Be careful as they are strict on the quality of the USD notes. If you don't have USD, they indicate you a place nearby to exchange. For me, I had USD already with me. I applied and the Friday morning and collected my passport back on the Tuesday afternoon. FYI, in my case, my company is relocating me from Vietnam to Thailand. 2 1
