I actually posted that he climbed on the plane without a mask, passing military escort that were maskless. Just BS IMO and used as a precurser to dropping out after dropping a gigantic hint in an interview that he'd drop out if he got a medical condition.

I "dislike" Biden and his cabal as much as some on here "dislike" Trump.

My only regret is that it makes it less of a sure thing that Trump wins, but at least it's the very unlikable Harris.

Biden truly took a metaphorical bullet for democracy!! Joe , thank you for your service!! 

  I am glad he did the right thing, I have no doubt that if re elected for a second term barring catastrophic age induced  illnesses,he would have done a great job. But the operative phrase  here is "If Re elected" and events of late , including the disastrous debate would had made it very difficult.

Those who say that his mental acuity made  him unfit to be president either have something to gain by saying so, or have no idea what the president's job is. Any mental decline he might experienced as a result of age. would had been more than compensated by age experience and wisdom. Age might had slowed him down, but he got there as opposed to the other fist pumping a-hole who aside from flapping his gums in the wind never got there. As reported, not even with the porn star. 

He is already placed  as the 14th best president in history, where trump finished 45th and perhaps one or the worst presidents in history. 

  I just wrote my check to Harris. Time for those of us who love our country to put our money where our mouth is and keep the malignancy that is trump from another term in the oval office. And please make sure to vote!!

Absolutely right, and I am sure he knew it, all the rest was IMO politicking to wait until after the RNC convention and steal trump's post convention bump. I said so several tines in the past couple of weeks. After all the call for him to step down it was impossible for him  to conduct a viable campaign. After all these democrats thought that he was not a viable candidate, if he decided to stay in how would it had looked in his campaign? trump would had said "not only do I think he is not fit to be president. but most people in his party think so" How would Schumer or others campaign  for him after they said they thought he should drop out? Every time Biden tripped, or misspoke the media would had shucked the oxygen out of that news cycle.He would had been constantly on the defensive against the ropes.
