I actually posted that he climbed on the plane without a mask, passing military escort that were maskless. Just BS IMO and used as a precurser to dropping out after dropping a gigantic hint in an interview that he'd drop out if he got a medical condition.

I "dislike" Biden and his cabal as much as some on here "dislike" Trump.

My only regret is that it makes it less of a sure thing that Trump wins, but at least it's the very unlikable Harris.

His rapid decline over the last four years was obvious to any right-minded person. So now it's Funny as hell to see all the shock and dismay from MSM and elected Democrats.

Denial is not a river in Egypt. Cognitive dissonance never ends well. :coffee1:

I wish he was. Having my opinion of Biden from the start, I liked having my opinion confirmed. This way he gets a pass.

Those who say that his mental acuity made  him unfit to be president either have something to gain by saying so, or have no idea what the president's job is. Any mental decline he might experienced as a result of age. would had been more than compensated by age experience and wisdom.

hahahaah you actually believe this too. very scary.

There was no other way left for Biden but to step down .

It was the right decision .

https://edition.cnn.com/politics/live-news/biden-trump-election-07-21-24/index.html

Is Biden still the president?

Yes. Biden’s announcement exclusively pertained to his role as the Democratic candidate in November’s presidential election. It has no bearing on his current role or term as president, which he said he intends to serve out in its entirety. Biden will remain president until his successor is sworn in on January 20, 2025.

Biden endorsed Harris. Does that make her the Democratic nominee?

No. Following his announcement, Biden endorsed Harris, his vice president, to be the Democratic presidential nominee.

How will the Democratic nominee be chosen and who will it be?

CNN’s Zachary Wolf and Ethan Cohen have laid out how the complex process to replace Biden will likely play out now that Biden is no longer the Democrat’s presumptive nominee.

Individual delegates will now select the party’s nominee during the Democratic convention in Chicago next month — or, potentially, during a virtual roll call. But because Biden won nearly all of the delegates during the primary process; they were approved by the Biden campaign and pledged to vote for the president. This means that while the delegates can vote however they like, it will largely be Biden backers who will be picking the nominee.

That doesn’t mean that a candidate who isn’t endorsed by Biden couldn’t attempt to secure the nomination. Some Democrats are calling for an “open process” to replace Biden, which would see other candidates in addition to Harris join the race.

Why?

Lyndon Johnson did not resign when he announced he would not seek re-election.

Felonistas know their cult leader just lost.

By the way, a POTUS who wins a second term cannot run for a 3rd, so in the now extremely unlikely event the felon wins, should he resign on Inauguration Day and let the country get a taste of JD?

Say hello to President Harris!

She might pick MI Gov Whitmer as her VP, which would make all the MAGA's junk shrink even tinier that their love muffin cult leader. Two women running the US!   E M A S C U L A T I O N !

I think all the competent Secret Service officers assigned to the felon suspected Biden was going to step down, so they bailed. Under President Harris, they know all the trials of the felon are back on the table, and nobody wants to spend the last miserable years of the felon's life watching over him in Leavenworth.

It's morning in America again !

Absolutely right, and I am sure he knew it, all the rest was IMO politicking to wait until after the RNC convention and steal trump's post convention bump. I said so several tines in the past couple of weeks. After all the call for him to step down it was impossible for him  to conduct a viable campaign. After all these democrats thought that he was not a viable candidate, if he decided to stay in how would it had looked in his campaign? trump would had said "not only do I think he is not fit to be president. but most people in his party think so" How would Schumer or others campaign  for him after they said they thought he should drop out? Every time Biden tripped, or misspoke the media would had shucked the oxygen out of that news cycle. He would had been constantly on the defensive against the ropes.
