Secret Service director steps down amid resignation calls after Trump assassination attempt.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has stepped down after widespread calls by lawmakers for her to resign following the attempted assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump on July 13, three sources told NBC News.

An official announcement on her resignation is expected later this morning, two law enforcement sources said.

Good, she finally found accountability. Now let’s see what floozy flunky incompetent takes her place.

Now she needs to worry about perjury charges based on that fiasco of a testimony Monday.  Time to lawyer up. She should have taken one with her to the Congressional hearing.  After this I doubt she'll be able to get a job guarding a bowl of Doritos.

She was in the oven all yesterday. I don't think she answered any questions directly apart from was it was a failure?

Frying pan or fire next?

DEI hire gone wrong.  Thanks Jill.

From keeping the Hugh Hefner types from plundering the nation’s Pepsi Cola supply to an agency responsible for protecting President's.

Only in America.

If she does, I hope she doesn't use the same agents 'guarding' Trump.

That bowl of Doritos would be gone within seconds. So would the Dr. Peppers next to them.

They'll blame Trump.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see them file charges against him, going by recent history.

More cover up. Their silence and holding back is a precursor of design and fit for a well constructed narrative that government administrators of certain institutions use for influence. The system is what it does, not what it identifies itself as.

Thanks.  You seem a lot smarter than the other guy who can’t answer.

Probably 50 former and current heads of "alphabet" agencies signing a letter in full support of the stellar performance of the USSS under Director Kim Cheatles which states that Trump set the whole assassination attempt up himself and all the video footage is "Cheap-Fakes" circulated by Putin and the Kremlin - and "that's the God's honest truth!," and a Grand Jury should be set up to bring Donald Trump to justice for faking his own assassination, and short-range nuclear weapons should be stationed in Ukraine in order to "teach Putin a lesson about interfering in US elections once and for all!"

That sound about right?

Amazing that I'm one of the few on this forum with a well crafted sense of satire.  It helps keep me sane in an insane world.

The only part you missed is where they go over the county permits for the rally and find out that someone on his staff underestimated the size of the crowd. And he signed off, because he signs 800 mundane documents at a time. They'll charge him with misdemeanor fraud. But elevate it to a felony because someone was killed.

+1. Using insight to epitomize with an inverse is often missed.

I'm sure she'll land a highly lucrative job in the private sector making multiples of the salary she currently makes as a government employee.  That will be her "reward" for almost getting "Hitler" assassinated while on her watch.  And those Congressional perjuries changes that the Republicans are looking into?  Come on, a Democrat administration DoJ isn't going to pursue perjury charges against a Democrat operative even if handed to them on a silver platter.
It will make it slightly more difficult for her replacement to eliminate "Hitler" now tho', but not impossible.  Having all those players simply ignore a massive hole in perimeter security on July 13th worked once.  Heck - just invoke, "Sloped Roofs Are A Danger To USSS Agents."  It worked once didn't it?  But then there is now that pesky "Goebbels" and the past Editor of The Yale Law Journal to contend with.  Drat!  What to do, what to do?  Well, when the Hillery/Michelle ticket is formed August 21st and goes into action post DNC convention, the Democrats won't have to worry about "Hitler" and "Goebbels" anymore as they'll lock in a Democrat Administration until 2050 for sure, for sure!  Then they can work on imprisoning "Hitler" for the rest of his life with a new and improved Democrat DoJ formed for that express purpose.   Heck, they can bring Ms. Cheatles back to run the DoJ and let Kamala be her Deputy Attorney General seeing that Ms. Harris doesn't mind playing second-fiddle to more important white folk.
Ain't life grand?
