I was watching a live stream of the Arizona rally and I have to say that Governor Walz is a natural, authentic, and inspiring speaker.

I feel sorry for JD Vance, or whatever his name is.

Aside from that, there is no question that Walz lied about his service on multiple occasions, and let others lie about it without correcting them. He wants to gain some cred for having served in combat and use that as a political advantage. He never served in combat, never carried a weapon in a combat zone, never served in Iraq or Afghanistan. Yet claims to all of those have been made.

yet having a reasonable discussion about this is almost impossible without the usual incoming rants. i can almost predict the replies.

Yes, of course they know how to use firearms. Who said they didn't? You are really confused.

How many Guardsmen or Reservists have you actually met? That may be why you seem rather obtuse and ill-informed on the subject.

If you are referring to Waltz' claim to have carried weapons into battle, that is a different argument entirely. Nobody is questioning whether or not he served, but rather the circumstances surrounding his sudden departure.

I am not the confused one, you are on the ropes trying to protect your Trump hero digging up dirt when there is none, a man's service near 20 years back.

Why don't you tell us about your hero and his recent convictions in COURT....😂

But you are of the same ilk, got nothing, floundering, looking stupid...

Oh, you would be surprised at how many military men I have met in my own country, but that is none of your business.

Now go away and find something else to help your numpty hero who took a bullet for you...🤣

ahhh looks there is a lot of controversy around tim walz military career. some of the timing and things like that.

something that as @Hanaguma previously said could all easily be cleared up. why not do that and move on and/or disprove anything being said.

*You* can tell us when Walz submitted his retirement papers, using a legit source.

Actually you are the one who lied when you stated without citing a source that the papers were submitted in 2004... you do know what "ass ume" means.  This is from the Seattle Times recently...

When Walz retired

"The timeline is clear: Walz submitted his Guard retirement papers in May 2005. The unit’s first call-up notice came in July 2005 and the regiment deployed in March 2006."

The only question I have is how the Harris-Walz ticket should respond, if at all.

Responding to such garbage translates to taking the garbage seriously.

However those who dole out such garbage would demand vehemently that said garbage be "responded" to.  Harris Walz team knows well how to handle such junk (another is "Tampon Tim".) The only way to do that is dump it at the nearest trash bin, then go on with your victory course. The rest of us pay attention to the garbage source, ie the sewer (you know who you are), and stay away. End of story. Here a couple of liberal sisters tell you how to deal with it.

Walz retired in May 2005. When do *you* think he started the paperwork. If your answer isn't 2004, you are wrong.

Your entire troll is based on semantics. Walz retired when he was serving as a Command Master Sergeant. You are making a big deal over a reduction in grade upon retirement.

No one in the Real World is as worked up about this as the online trolls.

Quote from Walz on justifying a ban on assault weapons;

“We can make sure that those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are at,”

He was never in war.

He filed for retirement in May 2005. At that time, rumours swirling about Guard units being mobilized. A better man may have decided to put off retirement and chosen to serve with the men he trained with.

While you continue to spread misinformation (LIES) without citing sources...

Okay, let's try this again:

Do you agree that Walz retired in May 2005, and his unit deployed afterwards?

Do you understand that the military retirement process takes a long time?

So, do you understand that Walz began the retirement process long before his unit was deployed?

Please advise if you don't or can't understand this.

Furiously digging, that's all they could do in MAGA land from now till November, including their master, who is digging himself into a hole, or grave, whatever comes first.

Nope.

Walz left the military in May 2005.

He filed long before that.

Your internet troll masters have fooled you again.

Use your common sense.

If Walz retired from the military in May 2005, when do you think he started the retirement process?

The news of a possible deployment came on March 17, 2005. Walz was already in the retirement process at that time.

Don't you have any shame in lying about a 24 year veteran's military career?

Walz' direct supervisor in the Guard disagrees. He was on CNN and said that Walz committed to the deployment, then went behind his (supervisor's) back to file retirement papers with others higher up the chain of command.
