Popular Post webfact Posted August 9, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 9, 2024 Leader of People's Party, Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, second left, poses with the party members after a press conference as they announced the formation of the new political party in Bangkok, Thailand, Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, two days after Thailand’s Move Forward party was dissolved by legal order. (AP Photo/Sakchai Lalit) In a stunning show of support, members of the public have donated over 4.5 million baht to the People’s Party in a brief span of only four hours today. Around 7,700 individuals contributed toward the party, which is a revival of the recently court-dissolved Move Forward Party. All 143 MPs who were part of the Move Forward Party have registered themselves as active members of the new People’s Party to retain their legislative status. Today was the inaugural day for the People’s Party's appeal to the public for donations. They had initially set a target of 10 million baht to be reached over a month's time. Astonishingly, the record sum of 4.5 million baht was raised within just four hours, and there is optimism for further contributions as the day progresses. Hopes are high for reaching the 10 million baht target in a single day. Natthapong Ruengpanyawut, the leader of the People’s Party, mentioned that they aim to register a minimum of 100,000 members within a month. The People’s Party intends to uphold the political ideologies and flagship policies of the Move Forward Party. Their ultimate goal is ambitious: to become the largest elected party in the next general election, aiming for a majority with over 250 out of 500 MPs, in order to establish a one-party government. Today’s remarkable donation influx underscores the robust support and enthusiasm among the public for the People’s Party and its vision for Thailand's future. -- 2024-08-10 - Cigna offers a variety of health insurance plans designed to meet the minimum requirement for medical treatment coverage, with benefits reaching up to THB 3 million. Popular Post Artisi Posted August 9, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 9, 2024 This will have to cease, can't have the underclass supporting these nasty upstart progressive politicians - donations to minor politicians and parties will have to be outlawed although bribery to the major parties and vote buying will be ok. 1 2 6

Long overdue, and likely to be quite some time before it happens as a result of the entrenched ar&e holes currently pulling the strings. The day will come, either thru' the ballot box or a civil uprising, but it will come. 1 4 2

When the Future Forward party was dissolved in 2020 it's funds (10 million Baht) were seized and put into the Political Party Development Fund. I expect the same will happen, though I can't find any news articles to confirm it. 1
