Abc’s Muir needs to make a public apology
I probably shouldn't have commented without watching the debate. For some reason I have lost interest in this election. Maybe tomorrow but might opt for the molar extraction I've been putting off. -

House water pump & filters
If not the right forum can mods change it, We are building a bungalow/cabin next to out house for our daughter, it is one large room with a seperate bathroom/toilet, our house is not that big either(1 bedroom, kitchen area, lounge area and bathroom) but we need to get the water pressure right, We currently have a 150 hitachi auto pump that is enough to do 1 shower, 1 toilet, hand basin, kitchen sink, the washing machine outdoor sink plus water the garden. The new cabin has a shower, toilet & hand basin that are already hooked up and we have noticed the water pressure has dropped a bit so we take it we need a bigger pump. I thought a 250 would do but sales staff are telling us to go even bigger, the current pump is directly behind the new cabin and around 10 metres from our house, would like some opinions on the correct size we need, Also we have started getting very small black spots in our water, water has been very good for over two years since we had the well done(40 metres) , water has always been extremely clean and drinkable but the black spots(soft and not in big amounts) need to be filtered out so we need a filter between the well pump and the tanks then one between the tanks and the house pump , because there is only a small amount of black spots I thought a smaller with a clear removable cover filter would suffice especially as we would be installing one either side of the tanks, one that can be cleaned once a week or so costing a few thousand baht but again the sales people are saying we need a very large filter(standing 1.5 metres) costing 15,000 baht which I think is definite over kill. I am hoping some of the people in the know regarding water pumps/filters etc can advise as this is definitely not something I am up on and I am aware sales staff like to sell more than is needed. Thanks guys -

Trump: “There Will Be No Third Debate!”
True. This claim of yours is interpretation, not what she said: "Kamala Harris blamed Trump for the Covid pandemic.'. -

just like a jewelry - you can buy at posh areas of Central Dept. stores, or you can buy almost exactly same-same at Yowarat, or you can manage it yourself - not casting and setting, just "manage" Same for scanners - they all very similar Phillips, Toshiba now some Chinese one. But quotes can range up to 300%. -

Trump: “There Will Be No Third Debate!”
Only because the lie is so obvious. Or the cognitive faux pas so obvious. But she said Trump left her the pandemic. Which is ludicrous either way.- 1

Foreign insurance? They will recommend a hospital where the insurance can communicate in English, where professional looking medical reports are prepared and where their guarantee of payment is accepted. For these reasons, foreign insurances are known to have medevaced patients from China to Thailand at great cost. They also like it, if the insured patient can communicate in the hospital in English. Quality of the hospital is usually an afterthought, and can often not be judged by the insurance. Quality of the doctor, the most important point, is something a foreign insurance can rarely judge. -

Trump: “There Will Be No Third Debate!”
Excuse me? You have issue with the interpretation? It's crystal clear, she's saying Trump left her the pandemic. -

Trump: “There Will Be No Third Debate!”
Of course it's not, and that's why he's lying. Besides, if she really claimed Trump was behind the Covid pandemic the right wing media would be all over it. In fact, neither WSJ nor Fox even mentioned it in their post-debate fact-checks.- 1

Trump Vows to Make Overtime Pay Tax-Free: ‘Finally Catch a Break’
Call it what you want. It's exploding on the interwebs. Everyone's talking about the Harris/Biden Haitian problem in Springfield. And keep in mind the voters know all politicians lie. That's baked in. They're over it. That's not nearly as bad as the voters finding out cities are being devastated by bad policy. -

Thailand Visa Exemption (60 days) and Visa On Arrival (VOA) (15 days)
If he does not have a history of longer stays in Thailand in the recent past, and only does that schedule once per-year, then current reports indicate he would not be given problems upon-entry at the airport on his 2nd entry. One change I would make, is do the trip to Laos after the first 60-days, instead of getting an extension - then, do the extension on the 2nd entry, if additional time is needed. The reason is: There is some indication Immigration at "unfriendly" entry points (including both Bangkok airports) do not like seeing 30-day extensions on the last recent stay, when returning in close succession to the last departure.. -

Any advantages to retirement over marriage visa?
Over the last 4 years, I've witnessed several expats passing and leaving their spouses, girlfriends up <deleted> creek without a paddle due to using the monthly overseas transfers. Last one just a fortnight ago, leaving his wife to pick a substantial hospital bill, his cremation costs and deal with finance on a car. His account had just over 30,000 BHT in it, and she's now waiting to obtain a court order to release the funds, which will go towards paying off her debts she's now incurred to pay his bills. Add to that the loss of a monthly income.
