That mobo has how many M.2 Slots ?

Throw a 2tb Sammy Evo 980's in each slot.

Well, it has a few...

But, I think only two have heatsink...  And, heatsink is good because M.2 memory modules are cheaper without heatsink, at least I thought so.

Just curious. What motherboard do you have in the case?

Also, please tell that other guy that I made a mistake when I stated how many M.2 slots/SATA sockets I have in this MB ....

I meant this many...

There is your answer...throw some M.2 at it.

My purpose is to continue using my existing 4TB HDDs while they still work. So, I either need to buy cages and trays and install in the 5000D, or use a separate enclosure. Some guys would just spend the money to buy 1.2TB of M.2 storage, I guess. But, how much would THAT cost?  I am Cheap Charlie, you know.  (Also, what did you do to the formatting here?  You kno have my typing from the middle of the page, as if I am doing Thesis Titles, or something!)

Anyway, I enjoy the uncluttered view of my MB.

If I add HDDs and cables...then....

View will be all screwed up.

I don't think you know your own case. You won't be able to see the HDDs in the drive cage (talk to JIB about ordering), behind the shroud, connected to the PSU in the back. The SATA cables will immediately thread out of sight through the routing holes in the motherboard tray. A few custom cables will enhance the appearance of your motherboard.

Moreover, you can mount one, maybe two more drives on a back panel, out of sight.

image.png.78f6c61640859dbd7218c6531e14fd95.png

And JIB can put it together for you.

So this alleviates of your womanly concerns about the captivating aesthetics of your motherboard and the need for unobstructed viewing thereof.

Me, I'd find extra USB cables/box/NAS/external drives would detract from the aesthetics of my condo as well as those of my bank balance, not to mention SATA ports workin' hard for me, so my 5 drives are internal, with a mobile rack in a 3.5" bay for occasionally connecting another one.

womanly concerns

Thanks, Man!

What I really need is a WOMAN in my HOUSE to do these simple things for me, in order that I may concentrate on solving the problems of The World.

Anyway, I will now search for the brackets, etc., that were initially supplied with the 5000D case.

Then, I will find some woman, in the neighborhood, around my house, to insert them in my case, for me.

By the Way...  Yes...Good Advice, Sir!

Tks.

NOTE:  Chinese women are just better at this sort of thing.....TRUE!

Three for four decades ago, when PC assembly was "newer" and more interesting, that was the time....

THAT WAS THE TIME....

When I would work on PCs. myself.....and enjoy such diversions.

But now that I am older, I get no pleasure from these things, anymore than I would from changing the oil on my Jaguar XK-E...

Therefore, far better for me to just take this monster to JIB, and let one guy that I know, and who is very easy to work with, to do these menial tasks....for me.

Yes, Sir....

Decades ago, when PCs were new....THAT WAS THE TIME....Sir.....but not now...

Time passes...

And, what we were interested in before....

No longer is anything but a huge BORE.....

NOW!

I do not walk as fast as I once did.

I do not speak as fast as I once did...

That is our lot in life.....Lalena....

Why was I born, anyway?

Just to assemble simple PCs????

I know I'm no longer a young man, Folks!

I know!

I Know!

I KNOW!

But, what is it that I know....

Actually?

I know that the 5000D case did NOT have the 3 sleds it should have had, when shipped to me.

These 3 sleds were NOT included.

I must buy.

I must pay more.

In this world of broken conspicuous consumption....

We just must...

PAY and PAY.....

Like the Sugarplums we truly are.....

Maybe....

I just need a shave to make me feel....

Right with the world,

Once more....

I just did a build with the Corsair 4000D Airflow case.

It supports two (2) 3.5" bays, two (2) 2.5" SSD mounts.

Highly recommend this case.

The 5000D Airflow supports two (2) 3.5" bays and four (4) 2.5" SSD mounts.

I've used these Ugreen external 3.5" enclosures, they work well, No tools required.

650 baht at Gadget Villa the official UGreen storefront.

I have always liked UGREEN out of China...for cables...I must say.

Also, as you have found, the 4000D case is probably just as good as the 5000D, and just check the reviews if one has any question about this.

You know...

Great Minds (Geniuses)....think alike....obviously...

This Corsair Case (5000D) is one I REALLY  love...!!!

Note:  Particularly...  The Tac Switch...the tac power switch on this case....  Is  quite LOVELY....

In fact....

The Tact Switch for the power on the 5000D is like....so satisfying...

It's almost as good to push it as it was, back in the day, when I was fingering my first GF....

Great

So....Satisfying....!

Anytime I push it...

The comp immediately just ....CUMS ALIVE!

Well, when you select a new case, you study the specs carefully to see if they match your needs, then order, then notify the vendor if you didn't receive everything you need. I believe the sleds are an option for which you'll need to pay extra.

But JIB assembled everything for you in the first place, and you knew you'd want those 4TB drives in there. Obviously, you should have given them the drives at build time for them to install before handover. Why didn't you?

I bought a Fractal case from inVade 5 years ago @Bht 4000. At that time I had 4 x 3.5 HDDs and this case had room for 8. It also has room behind the motherboard for 2 x 2.5 SSDs.

It has a window to see inside.

It now has 8 empty 3.5 bays, 1TB Samsungs in the slots as my mobo does not have M2 slot, and it lives out of sight under my office desk.
