Vance has a mean streak to him. He's a man with a massive chip on his shoulder with a lot of internal anger. The Trump inner circle will never accept him for the simple reason that his background will always keep him an outsider to their culture. 

This isn't a  swipe at the Trump people, but reality. It's like asking the Boston Brahmin class to embrace a Paddy from Dorchester. It isn't going to be a sincere embrace. No different than when a  foreigner moves to Thailand. Even though fluent in the language and culturally sensitive, the foreigner will always be a farang and never Thai.
