"I will be honest about the choices we face and how tough this will be, he will state. Frankly – things will get worse before they get better." Why did he not say that before he was elected?

Don't answer that, all the voters of Labour, the "party of the working class" are getting what they deserve. The multimillionaire "Sir" and his hoards are bigger liars and hypocrites than all the other political parties put together, and that includes the Tories.

Has it occurred to you that Labour had no sight of the problems the Tories had made until they entered office and opened the books?

At least he's honest.

Things always get worse when Labour are elected. Then they get better when they are voted out.

Starmer is preparing Britain for it's hard workers to be taxed in order to fund (often illegal) immigration as well as the workshy in the benefits culture. The pensioners already lost their fuel allowance so expect a few of them to freeze to death over winter as well.

That's why many of us professionals left the UK to be replaced by unskilled, often intolerant and criminally minded immigrants. The public were stupid enough to elect Labour into power so now they must pay the price. Simple as...

Bit of myth making there Jonny.

The nation was in a hell of a worse state when the Tories were just kick out office than was left to them by Labour in 2010.

Taxes are now at their highest rate since WW2, but oddly the bulk of the tax burden is being g paid by those hard workers you mention, the hyper wealthy and corporations are making off like bandits.

Your immigrant thing, same old same old.

Some pensioners, those with sufficient incomes not to receive additional means tested benefits will no longer get a wi yet fuel allowance, this is by no stretch of the imagination all pensioners.

I wouldn’t introduce your own ‘professional standing’ into the discussion, it might not holdup  to scrutiny.

No I believe that.

The opposition do not get to see the state of the nations finances and any other reports that are reserved for Government ministers.

Nah, they don't believe it. Just more gaslighting.

Labour were as bad in opposition as they will be in power. Well, actually maybe not quite THAT bad since they now have the power to put their loony ideas into practice.

So you never knew the country was in lots of debt, funny that because I knew, although not the exact amount. So the new "Sir" PM thought the country was not in debt before he took office.

Beatings will continue until morale improves!

Let us be under no misapprehensions, they are going to tax the living daylights out of the UK, to build the centrally controlled society which is their aim.

So what's your solution to the debt problem? The government should pause/ cease all spending?
