Is it possible to survive and do business WITHOUT a Smartphone?

The question is a bit awkward.

How do you think mankind survived the former centuries???

(How you grew up without a mobile? Obviously without problems😂)

Enjoy your day👍

He wasn't being literal is my guess but you never know with him.

I'm not into mobiles and prefer my PC so I could get by for the most part.  Today my wifi went out after a storm and is still down.  No problem - my mobile hotspot!  My treadmill no longer has functioning buttons.  No problem - I connect to it through my mobiles Bluetooth.  It would be a pain in the buttt.

In my case YES. I have never owned a smartphone and use my personal computer at a work station in my apartment.  All work, business and pleasure, is completed on my PC. I also have an Epson printer for copying all the relevent documents I need. My choice and ideal for me.

Hi Folks,

My phone died....

How can I survive and thrive without a phone.

My A55 will be returned to the shop...very soon.

After that...I will have no phone.

Can I survive without a phone?

And, if using just computers, laptops and desktops....

How to do this?

I am tired of smartphones....

No doubt, there is a way....

But....not exactly sure how.....

Any ideas?

Back in the day, we did business without smartphones.....

We used faxes and emails....

But, these days, one must still communicate with guys who use messaging.....on their phones.

Therefore....just using a computer with good internet connection.....

What is the best way to still be able to keep in touch....

WITHOUT a phone of one's own.

Is  this possible?

Regards,

Gamma

IF POSSIBLE:

Please try to find some way to NEVER buy a phone in Thailand.

Extrapolating from this good advice:

NEVER BY FING ....NOTHING.....in Thailand, other than food.

Buying consumer products, including phones, etc....

Is like visiting Heartbreak Hotel....

Do not do it!

I will.....

NEVER

EVER

Buy any FING thing from Thailand......

Just got ripped off....but......

What was I expecting.....

ANYWAY?

Do not buy, folks!

It's Heartbreak Retail Hotel in Thailand, Baby!

I want to get rid of my expensive smartphones.

Once and for all.

How do I do this?

I am TIRED of being on the Smartphone bandwagon.

All I need is to be able to send and receive WeChat and LINE messages.

In addition to that....I just need a very cheap phone, like Nokia, to make calls....maybe three times each month.

So....

How do I do that?

image.png.44b21e2f33fc5610d9164a29ea4fec2e.png

WHY THE FOOK SHOULD I pay more  to Samsung?

MOST OF MY LIFE is directly tied to just my desktops.

I have....NO.....FING need for any expensive Smartphone.

I do not give a FLYING FING SHIRT about taking photos.....other than....maybe...

USING A NIKON, top o the line.

I do not need a smartphone.

So, my only need is to communicate, not too much, using LINE and WeChat...

So then....

WHY THE FOOOK should I go out and pay USD1200 for a foooking Samsung phone?

What can I do...

I need an alternative.....

My NOTE4 is dead.

I will NOT buy a replacement.

And....

I will not settle for anything less than the NOTE4....

The A55 is an arse compared to the Note 4....believe me....

Any ideas?

This is not a joke post....

No Way.....

Dude, you want contradictory things.

You don't want Samsung phone but a lower end Samsung phone isn't good enough for you.

Then you don't want a phone at all.

You DO need a flippin' phone. Not a flip phone. A phone.

Go to the flippin' phone stores and ask for the full function Android phone that they sell to the poorest people.

You will hate it.

It will handle all the phone apps you need.

You can use a laptop PC for everything else.

Suck it up buttercup.

That I added the PRINCESS PHONE in this Topic......

JUST FOR YOU, Man!

Glad you saw this....obviously....because...my mention of the Princess Phone...actually...was with you in mind....

Take care.....!

I mean.... I was thinking of you when I wrote this....actually....

Anyway....I will find my own way.....

Thank you for your reply....

By the way.....!

Please note:

I very rarely use a phone.

Since....I very RARELY leave me house.

This is true.

Not a joke.

((I just need to be able to send LINE and WeChat messages from my house, is all....  And nothing more.))

This is where your logic takes a permanent holiday.

It's irrelevant whether you leave the house or not.

You NEED the flippin' phone apps.

Just grow up or is it too late?

OK.

Please just check my other Topic.....

Anyway, you are correct that I need some sort of phone to make phone calls.

But, I really do not need anything more than that.

I just want to do everything from my desktop.

WHY should I pay USD1000 for a device that I very RARELY use.....

Why should I support the corrupt companies such as Apple and Samsung which....IMHO....

Feed on us, and for very little in return.

In fact....I do NOT need a smartphone.

I only need a phone to make calls, when needed.

DIG:   ......

There MUST be a way....

To STOP buying phones from Samsung and Apple.....

There should be no need.....

But then,  how......?

TOTAL RIPOFF .....

I want to stop paying this tax to these lousy companies......

I refuse...in fact.....

Concerning my choice of Samsung:

I made the WORST mistake of my life....

NEVER, EVER...again....

Choosing Samsung has been the WORST mistake of my life......

North Korea and South Korea....

ONE PEOPLE.....

IF you think you know these guys.....

In fact.....

You do not......

Samsung is totally inscrutable.

So...

Never again.

NEVER.

Not necessarily.

Could be a desktop PC with a sim card USB dongle.

No phone involved.

Yes.

This is exactly what I had been considering.

I do not use a smartphone for much outside the home.

But now, it's too late for me....already bought a new phone...which is NOWHERE near as good as the NOTE4.

In addition, as for me, I will never buy anything in Thailand from local retailers...if....I can possibly avoid doing so.

For any consumer, its TONS better to buy in the USA, or in Canada, or probably in the UK.

Buying in Taiwan is also OK.

Guys in Taiwan are super smart....and they are much better trained..

And, they know how to communicate and deal with retail customers.

The retailers here seem to hire those who are poorly trained....at least...this has been my experience.

Once in a while, you encounter a very good sales person, such as at the JIB store I now buy from.

But, good sales guys, like my sales  person at JIB...are like...

One in a million.

Maybe it's different in BKK...I do not know.

But here, buying stuff is a true nightmare, simply due to after-sales service.

It's just not worth the stress and hassle....NO WAY!

Very unhappy buying locally.

Where is "here" in Thailand, exactly?

What do you expect from 300 baht a day staff?

Perhaps do your own research on products, then just go and buy it, and not interact with the staff other than the purchase transaction.

Seriously, what did you expect from them?
