A Thai man who bought a lottery ticket from a mentally unstable man and promised to share the winnings if he won, kept his word after winning. The incident, shared on TikTok, has garnered widespread admiration for his honesty.

TikTok user @monrudeeyensabai posted a clip yesterday of her husband who decided to buy a lottery ticket from a mentally unstable man for 100 baht, instead of the original 80 baht. He told the man that if he won, he would give him 1,000 baht. To everyone’s surprise, the ticket won a two-digit prize. After deducting expenses, the winnings amounted to 1,300 baht. True to his word, the TikTok user’s husband gave 1,000 baht to the mentally ill man and kept 300 baht for himself.

The post humorously concluded, “So, who’s really crazy?”

The post quickly went viral, attracting numerous comments praising the kindhearted man’s integrity.

“It’s not about profits or losses. I see the honesty and integrity of your husband, who didn’t take advantage and kept his promise. That’s truly valuable, worth more than 300 baht.”

The TikTok user responded, “Thank you very much. I chose the right person, didn’t I?”

“You are truly fortunate. You picked the right person; he is honest and keeps his word.”

The woman responded, “He came asking for money at the drink shop next door. My husband saw him and quickly gave him the promised money.”

The TikTok video, accompanied by the audio track, Stealthy Mischief by KBYS, has been widely shared and appreciated. The husband’s actions have been lauded as a rare display of genuine honesty and integrity, encouraging others to follow suit, reported KhaoSod.

not sure how he could only receive 1,300 from a 2,000 baht  win ...    (  that's 700 baht less )

normally the commission payed is 100 baht I believe to the seller,   to the government may be a bit more but not 700 baht.

But the story said after expenses,  so does he mean fuel, lunch and whatever for the day I guess ..

oh well,  1,300 is ok ...  and actually only 300 because he's a good guy.

but the Thai lottery is terrible value anyway ...   I rarely buy.
