This is probably covered although I heard nothing lately. Has anyone heard (from reliable sources) if it is going to be unlocked anytime soon?

Tomorrow sure, just waiting for Thaksin to call me to confirm details.........

No chance of anything happening soon whilst the Junta are in control. There are plenty of ways of getting youtube anyway, but I don't hink we are allowed to say on here.

I think the ISPs who are saving tons on their international bandwidth are quietly telling the powers that be that they dont need to hurry bringing YouTube back.

My understanding is the Junta/people at the top of a list of the sites they deem unfit, and it's up to the ISP's to implement the block. While they have said people are free to view YouTube, the ISP's are yet to remove the ban - probably because if what you mention Vic.

Go Dailymotion.com ore any other clip site.

No need for Youtube

Don't think it will be back until after the election - and even that probably depends on the type of government elected.

Exactly...

Huh!

Youtube has worked for me for about a month here in Phuket.

It would seem you are not using TOT as your ISP.

Us poor buggers that are, only get a white screen with an apology (in Thai) from TOT, saying something along the lines that YouTube is not suitable for Thais.

Sounds like they liked the impact banning YouTube had on their bandwidth.
