A sudden tornado struck the Phatthalung province on September 16, destroying some homes as officials scrambled to provide urgent aid. The extreme weather, which included both heavy winds and rain, devastated the area, particularly affecting the village of Ban Khuan Saeng in Tambon Khok Sai, Pa Bon District.

DDPM Helicopter Transports Blood from Chiang Rai to Aid Injured Rescuers in Phichit

The KA-32 of The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation. (DDPM) successfully transported rare blood type from Chiang Rai to Phichit province. This mission was initiated to assist volunteer rescuers who suffered severe injuries while returning from a rescue operation during the recent flooding in Chiang Rai.

Pakistani Tourist Robbed by Scam Artists During First Pattaya Visit

A Pakistani tailor was left devastated after being robbed during his first visit to Pattaya, within hours of his arrival.

 

On September 16th, Mr. Farrukh U, a 33-year-old Pakistani national, filed a complaint with Police Lieutenant Colonel Chonwit Athiphansee of Pattaya City Police Station after thieves tricked him and stole $900 USD (approximately 30,000 THB) from his wallet.

Senior judge suspended after molestation allegations on train

A senior judge has been suspended following allegations of molesting a female court worker during a journey in June. The Judicial Commission decided to suspend the judge with a 14-1 vote after an inquiry panel determined that he had committed a severe disciplinary violation.

A fresh anti-money laundering complaint has been lodged against former Thailand Deputy Prime Minister, and Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) leader, Prawit Wongsuwon, following the release of one of four controversial audio recordings. The complaint was submitted by Prompong Nopparit, former spokesman of the Pheu Thai Party, to the Anti-Money Laundering Office (Amlo) yesterday, September 16.

Bangkok Unveils 'Good Walk' Zones in Phra Khanong, Bang Na

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is set to transform Phra Khanong and Bang Na into a pedestrian-friendly area, hoping to foster a healthier, greener lifestyle. Deputy Bangkok Governor Tavida Kamolvej announced the ambitious plans during an event at Ban Jirayu-Poonsup Library on Sunday, September 15. The initiative, a part of the Walk-Ride-Run campaign, is organised by Chulalongkorn University's Urban Design and Development Centre (UDDC) in collaboration with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth).
