I thought the whole point was to have debate so as to arrive at 'the best' way forward.....

Yes i totally agree,this forum is slowly but steadily going to the dump.

Too many topics are turning into a pxssing match and  it is the main reason

i decide not to respond or even read some topics any more.

The maga crowd is ruining many discussions because there is no reasoning with them.

It is what it is however and we will all see how this plays out.

I haven't put anyone on my ignore list and posts here  don't bother me to the extent where I have to hide what other people say 

I no longer care who wins regarding this forum. I'm done trying to discuss rationally anything about politics. Too many ridiculous trolls throwing snarky remarks around with no hope of ever coming to a compromise.

 

Between this and the enormous number of popups that invade make this page too difficult to enjoy any more.

I have been here for awhile and i have no one on ignore either.

Putting people on ignore totally defeats the purpose of a forum.

I do however chose not to respond to some people anymore because

of obvious reasons.

Like i said ,it is what it is.

I have noticed lately a lot of new members (some are trolls for sure)

and also a lot of members seem to just have gone,good in some cases

but sad in a few others.

Of course there are different reasons why some people are gone .

Sometimes i can not understand why some people are allowed to spew their

poison but we are not to discuss or question this .

Plus 1.   What is wrong with these people who go on and on and on about Trump. Get a life.  I am already coming here less since too many threads about American politics. Why the mods don't snowball them into one thread like the Ukraine thread is beyond me. The owners of the kleenex factory must be doing a bumper trade with all the Trump, Biden and Harris groupies.

I'm an independent with no dog in the fight, and from my vantage point, both the pro-Harris-Leftist-Democrats and the Pro-MAGA-Republicans are both out of their minds and there is no reasoning with either side, although both sides will point at the other side and yell obscenities and call the other side every vile name in the book and insinuate that "the other side can't be reasoned with!!!"

It would be pretty comical if it wasn't so freaking sad.

I have zero emotions invested in politics, it’s all in the cerebral sphere where it belongs. Heart felt emotional political reactions should be confined to insane asylums.

It's all bread and circus..Trump is an amusing clown who upsets

"the powers that be"  on some issues  but not all,

Very few passport holding Americans post here. Especially among our Trump fan boys, mostly from Australia England and New Zealand. I don’t really get it other than Trump being the ultimate sounding board for xenophobic  and racist tendencies.

Trump supporters are laser focused on Trump’s policies and ability rather than any past moral failings or personality imperfections. Trump’s leadership competency negates any   inaccurate or unkind things he says. 

 

Charlottes Nazis are good people .

Trump never said that. He said there were “very fine people” on both sides.  Meaning excluding all Nazis or racists there were very fine people who rallied to support maintaining historical monuments. He then later roundly condemned white supremacism and racism in unequivocal terms.

I never counted but several pages. Given I put the posters that use insults and personal attacks on ignore, it says something about how many think it's OK to insult other people that so many are on the list.

I'll guarantee that none of them would speak like that to my face.
