The weekend attacks on the Hala-Bala Wildlife Sanctuary office and buildings in Narathiwat province were the most violent in the past 22 years, following weapon thefts in 2002 and 2006, the director general of the National Parks and Wildlife Department said today.

Attapon Charoenchansa stated that it was fortunate that no one was injured in the attack on Saturday, in which armed assailants torched the office, tied up four officials and made off with numerous weapons.

Attapon indicated today that the number of weapons taken included 11 official shotguns and one personal pistol. Earlier, it was mentioned that ten shotguns and two handguns were stolen.

Just put a bounty on heads and open it to non Thai-Mercs, this is what the Brits did in Rhodesia, a dearly departed friend (Peter) made a killing, a new lease on life after leaving the British Military hunting down enemies of the state.

Let's just call them what they are...Muslim insurgents/terrorists. Need to be dealt with severely. The only thing Taksin did which I agreed with. :coffee1:

I feel sad by what's been happening here in my home province for 8 years, Narathiwat. As a farang I chose to live here voluntarily, so I am aware of the risks. Now I live here with my local wife alhamdulilah.

Inshallah there will be peace. However, if we need to fight, only Allah can grant us the strength to soldier on and bring happiness back to the hearts of the locals and expat like me inshallah.

We believe everything, good or bad, is decided by Allah and we cannot do anything but FIGHT for Him. In our hearts and on the battlefield. May peace be restored to the Patani Sultanate!!

Btw, I invite other farangs to come visit us and see the beauty of the deep south, the three provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat and the good-hearted Melayu people.
