Voter registration is spiking, particularly among young adults

Voter registration is breaking records as Election Day approaches, particularly among young people, many of whom are first-time voters.

On Tuesday's National Voter Registration Day more than 150,000 people registered through Vote.org, the most the organization has ever seen on that day. The organization registered 279,400 voters in all of last year.

Last week, 337,826 people visited a link posted on Instagram by pop star Taylor Swift that directed them to their state's voter registration site.

Thanks, Taylor Swift?

While the GOP/MAGA is hard at work on "election integrity (EI)," meaning eliminating as many voters as possible.  DT himself has said he knows he already won the election, and his focus is on EI to ensure his win.  The GOP has been banging the drum for this fictional problem since W's days, if not before.

E.g., Georgia is doing so by making a pig's breakfast of their electoral system.

Election Deniers Secretly Pushed Rule That Would Make It Easier to Delay Certification of Georgia’s Election Results

Republicans are using ruse of "election integrity" to pull off another round of Big Lie chicanery

Actually it would be better to go to news.google.com with election integrity to check reporting from various sources.  With the Supreme Court in his pocket we know where that would go, if it came to it.

This year that same election board has ruled that votes should be counted by hand. Because the hand recounts worked out so well for Trump last time.

The new Georgia rule is being misreported.

The new requirement is for precincts to count ballots before sending them to the county office, a process that takes 20 minutes. This is commonly done in many states.

There's also this about increased Asian voter participation since Harris replaced Biden:

New registrations in California won't help.

The key to avoiding a repeat of 2016 is new voter registrations in swing states:

Democrats in Pa. approach 2024 election with slimmest voter registration advantage in decades
