Having left Phuket years ago, I have visited 2X since then and each time was a great disappointment. I can't go back in time, but to describe the old Karon or Surin Beaches as missed is an understatement. They were once beautiful. Phuket is a textbook case in what not to do in tourism. The story seems a bit embellished. I genuinely feel for this kid. Probably from a one parent family and I doubt that he had an easy life. A 28 year old who ends up in Pattaya can't be doing well. It is hardly a holiday destination of choice for active young people. -

The guy in question in the OP wasn't the "Former head of BLM IN Greater Atlanta" as your OP post intro claims. The guy was a former BLM member who got booted out of the real BLM organization in Atlanta and then thereafter, went on to create by himself a similarly named organization that was entirely his own individual venture. Just as the NY Post article that you used as your source actually explains in great detail. -

Bringing Meat/Cheese into Thailand
I've read many forums stating that you can't bring food into Thailand. It's obvious that you need a permit for commercial purposes, but I think I've verified that you can bring some personal food items which are restricted: Customs states here that food is restricted: https://www.customs.go.th/cont_strc_simple.php?ini_content=individual_160426_01&lang=en&left_menu=menu_individual_submenu_03_01 And then it references that the issuing authority is the FDA @ www.fda.moph.go.th The FDA has limited quantities permitted for import for personal use: https://en.fda.moph.go.th/guideline-of-importation-for-personal-use/bringing-of-health-products-into-the-kingdom-of-thailand-01 Is there any other agencies to worry about or does this verify that we are allowed to bring limited amounts of these items when traveling to Thailand?
