The Canada Pension Plan(CPP) is a contributory earnings based social program.

The UK state pension is a contributory earnings based pension scheme.

However

Because the CPP is a "member-contributed plan", it will always be yours, regardless of where you live in the world.

True, but it has nothing to do with my post.

Life is full of choices, they chose poorly...

 Definitely , But not the fact he chose Thailand, it was the method of being paid. Choose IPC (unless you get a generous soul there to advise) then you are doooomed.

   Getting out of a frozen pension is difficult, but a Skype UK number could help out.

  There has never been any punitive action taken against any unfrozen pensioner, but looking at warnings from the frozen bunch are ludicrous to the extreme "met at airport by police on return to UK" "crying to get OAP restored" "do not know how the unfrozen sleep at night"" I know someone brigade"  laughable, but you are answering against a hoard of jealous frozen difficult to get a word in

2 people is not a solution. Yes, some Thais speak  English. They can also speak French, Manadarin, and German.  The point of my comment was to refute your statement;

What is wrong with my reading comprehension as you claim Did you not write the above?  It is you who is a self proclaimed expert with that ignorant statement.  You ignored the fact that Thailand has a shortage of health professionals.

There is NOT a large well  of qualified nurses and doctors in Thailand. What part of Thailand  of the patient doctor ratio in Thailand of 0.67:1000  do you not understand? What part of the reality that the Thai health professionals most likely to be functionally literate in English are  those who have completed some studies in an English language nation? These are typically specialists. Nurses and GPs are the least likely to have completed  english language medical training.

The crisis is in the UK is in the number of available GPs and the number of available operating theaters and hospital beds. The available facilities have been reduced to save money. Having 1000 more nurses won't reopen a surgery. Funding for their salaries and the equipment will.

You also ignored the fact that it is irresponsible and UNETHICAL, and contravenes established foreign relation undertakings for a wealthier nation undertake "brain drain".

Dear me. Pathetic.

If "brain drain" was a genuine issue the NHS would collapse today.
