I don't think he's had ever had the respect of the military, he has certainly never had the respect of the intelligence services and from what I hear has the respect of very few soldiers and veterans, and all of that is for very good reasons.

 

He is not a patriot, he disrespects valuable allies, and he shows great affection and regard for despots and dictators, and that makes him a very dangerous and compromised man.
