1. What your aunt in Colorado thinks / would do is totally irrelevant. I suggest don't listen to her. 2. Back to the OPs post. I have one farang acquaintance in CM, has quite good legal employment. His Thai wife is a senior accountant / economist, worked for the same big Thai company for about 15 years. They met at a party celebrating a business success for the company. They married 1 year later. Have a big modern house on nice land on the outskirts of CM. He transfers about 95% of his earning to his wife every month. He has to ask her permission to go anywhere, shopping to buy food (he likes to cook) . ...ask her permission to be away for 2 hrs* on Sat / Sun to have coffee with long-term western friends. Western friends wives often attend, all pleasant professional people, good conversation. *she indicated a time limit for him to be away, if he's 5 minutes late he gets a call telling him to be home very soon. He always asks his wife to attend coffee, she refuses. I went to their house once, she would not allow me to enter the house. He seems to be quite happy with all of this. Tight leash? -

Elderly Swiss man busted with gun at Phuket Airport An 82-year-old Swiss man, Kurt Fritz Loliger, was arrested at Phuket International Airport on October 7 after a handgun was found in his luggage during a routine security check. The firearm, identified as a short-barrel ASTRA cal 6.35 a25 model, was detected at Gate 81 of the International Passenger Terminal around 8:30 pm. The airport’s X-ray image officer flagged the suspicious item, leading to Loliger’s detention by the Sakhu Police for further investigation. The incident has raised security concerns, with authorities emphasising strict firearm policies and legal consequences regardless of age or nationality. -

Now that IS 'whataboutism'! How can recent Tory governments be absolved of accountability and responsibility for its' failure? Simples. We just label the failed policies 'left wing'. I'm downplaying nothing. Which part of "97 rapes is 97 too many" is unclear? I have stated nothing that could remotely be construed as suggesting that the unfortunate women in question were "lying (sic) for attention". And along comes the sly innuendo for good measure. The fact remains that the overwhelming majority of immigrants (and native-born Muslims) are law abiding. At least, you now appear to have dropped your previous pretence that, "I'm not against immigration", and are now showing your true colours: Your most recent rants make no distinction between legal and illegal migrants when it comes to assigning blame. -

Eric Adams of NYC said the quiet part out loud when he requested $12 Billion federal dollars to help NYC care for the 110,000 "newcomers" in his city, for 3 years. That's $36K a head per year. While I am open to the possibility that he was padding the numbers a little bit, if you multiply $36K times 10 million illegals, you're talking real money. That's $360 billion a year. With the USA already in debt to the tune of $35 Trillion, we simply can't afford it. Some of us suspect that's why he's being punished with accusations of corruption. He was a party hero right up until he exposed the true cost of the Harris/Biden migrant crisis. And it's not like the "corruption" he's accused of is unusual in politics. Personally, I'd like to see them start with the convicted criminals, then move onto the parasites, then (and only then) deport the ones that aren't contributing more than they're costing. But that's not my job to decide. -
