The incident occurred on October 9 in Pathum Thani when a construction worker was struck and killed by lightning while attempting to take shelter from a sudden downpour. The incident took place in Village 3, in the Sam Phrik Thai Subdistrict, Muang District.

Mr. Ekkalak Suwangthuen, the head of the local administrative organisation, along with officers from the Sam Phrik Thai Police Station and volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Well if he did he didn't make it time, so whether he had one or not is a mute argument.

the assumption is the poster does not know the FACTS Not many (if any) construction workers own a car this is an Assumption

Meaning of assumption in English something that you accept as true, although you have no proof:

Might be an undocumented migrant worker  from the neighboring country.

Another sudden, tragic death of young life.

Heartfelt condolences to the poor soul.

Also sorry for his/her remaining family member back home.

As well as their (financial) hardship to come(by the loss of earner).

They might not be even able to know about the death of own son or father...
