As you well know trump empowers those who reflect his ideology; that is weaponising the judicial system. trump has also committed to only appoint loyalists in Cabinet and civil service, In this instance weaponising the political system. Apparently US citizens want to move the US to right of centre. from reading their posts on this forum not a good look for the future of Western democracies

I watched the whole election coverage on BBC and CNN both pro Harris. 

The postal vote and some polling stations in previous elections took days to count the votes. Not this time. 

Media coverage took pains to stress the streamlined voting security and counting system.  special court orders obtained to extend voting times to deal with long queues and machine problems. Overall before the  final count there was media praise for the overall voting operation country wide.

Many of the laws/rules changed in 2020 were illegal and had to be changed back.

It was managed the same way, but again, many of the changes were reversed. 

 

And a lot more observers were deployed this time. 

 

Still a lot of work to be done. Motor-voter laws should reversed, ID should required, mail-in voting should be by request only, ballot harvesting should be illegal, or at least harsh penalties put in place for abuse would be a start. 

 

Oh, and states should not be allowed to use voter registration rolls to draw jurors.
