Foreign Pilot Approval Raises Concerns for Thai Aviation
Assume makes and ASS out of U and ME. Not a Thai bash - a concern over too many graduates getting into the system in a shortish time. I would say the same about any country doing this. Yes, I understand how newby's get experience, but there is still a risk if lots are in the spare seat at once. Quoting 1,200 available graduates is a distraction to the fact that experienced pilots are needed now. -

90 day report in Bangkok - how bad is it now?
November 19. I made my 90 day report and obtained an annual extension in person at CW. In at 0830 hrs, out at 1030 hrs. No appointment, no agent. Fast, friendly service, no hassle. -

LTR Visa is Now available for Long Term Residency
A Thai tax return is required only if you have assessable income. To be assessable income, it has to be subject to Thai taxation (subject, but not necessarily taxable, if exceeded by TEDA). If your DTA says certain income, when remitted, is not taxable by Thailand, then ipso facto it is also not assessable income. If a Thai law says pre-2024 savings are not taxable, then they, too, are not assessable. If a Royal Decree says remitted income by LTR holders is not taxable -- it too is therefore not assessable. Thus, if no assessable income, then no requirement to file a Thai tax return. IMO. Lady at BoI knows of what she speaks. -

Danish Prisoner in Thailand Warns Against Drug Crimes
My thoughts exactly. He is giving a warning to others?????? Anyone with a brain cell knows what happens if you do drugs in Thailand. A cooper told me in England that one of the main reasons criminals get caught is "creed". No, I wasn't nicked! I worked along side them for 9 years.
