Georgealbert Posted November 5 Posted November 5 In the early hours of November 4, a crash claimed the lives of three young motorcyclists when a 10-wheeler truck collided with their motorcycle at Don Yang intersection, Bang Khao Subdistrict, Nong Chik District, Pattani Province. The crash, which occurred at approximately 00:35 left all three on the motorcycle dead at the scene. The victims have been identified as: 1. Mr. Khu Azmi Jetare, age 16, from Tha Kam Cham Subdistrict, Nong Chik District, Pattani. 2. Mr. Apinan Binruesa, age 18, from Talubo Subdistrict, Mueang District, Pattani. 3. Miss Thaksanee Raksaphon, age 13, from Tha Ruea Subdistrict, Khok Pho District, Pattani. According to police reports and eyewitnesses, the motorcycle reportedly ran a red light at the intersection, where it was struck by the oncoming truck. CCTV footage from the scene corroborates this account, showing the motorcycle accelerating through the intersection just before the crash. The intersection where the accident occurred, known locally as a “dangerous crossing,” has been the site of numerous traffic incidents, often involving vehicles running red lights. Local residents have frequently voiced concerns over the intersection’s high accident rate, especially during nighttime hours. Authorities have reported that the driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated fully with police. He was tested for alcohol, with results indicating no impairment. The bodies of the young victims were transported to their families, who are arranging religious rites. Meanwhile, the police continue to investigate the accident and are preparing an official report. MarcelV Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) Most muslims do not drink, so I don't think the driver had consumed alcohol. Edited November 6 by MarcelV 1
