Hi guys, I am planning next month to apply at Jomtien for my retirement extension renewal, so I have a few questions, if you don't mind..
1. How much earlier before my retirement extension expiration do  I need to apply for renewal ? I am asking because I took some money out of my bank account, and on the date that the 800k funds would be in the bank for 2 months, I would be left with only 5 days before the retirement expiration
2. What is the process of extension like ? In the last couple of years I was out of the country when my retirement extension expired and I had to start from the beginning, so I had to wait in the country for more than 2 months for that.
3. Last question. On my last appilication I did not realize that my passport was expiring in 9 months, so I got a stamp for only 9 months instead of 12. I now have a new passport valid for 10 years. Any chance of extending the 9 months to 12 ?
Many thanks in advance for your replies

1. You can apply for extension up to date of expiry of current permission of stay.

2. Annual extension is straight forward. Seems like your first extension from non O.

3. No

Thanks. I had done an annual extension pre-Covid at CW but do not remember the process. So, basically I need to provide the same documentation as when originally applied and then get the extension without any major delay, correct ?

As per your items in Jomitien

(1) you need to have the 800k in bank for a minimum of 2 months so you can only apply after that (so in your case within the last 5 days before your expiry)

(2) My 12 month extension took less than an hour and all buildings are now aircon with lots of seating. You line up in building on left to get document check and queue number (also photocopier in that room at 3 baht a page). Then go inside main building to await your number at Desk 8. You come back next day to pick up passport.

(3) I think no chance of extending your old stamp by 3 months. New application will give 12 months from current expiry date

Yes. The current permission of stay stamp will NOT be changed regardless of new pp.
