You are interested in which locations the general population of ThaiVisa lives then, not anything particularly family oriented?

I think there was a poll done a while back.....

Anyway, moved to the general forum

I live in Phu Kradung Loei where my main house is.

I also have a place in Pattaya.

I prefer Loei by far, but..............Pattaya is still a great place for a visit every now and then, I just wish Pattaya was only as busy as it was 17 years ago, and not bursting at the seams with traffic. It's too much now and I would not want to live there full time.

Currently live in Sukhumvit. Am in the process of buying a place in Hua Hin and from the end of the year will likely live between the two.

I live in Kabinburi. About as hill billy as you can get! Also have a shared family house in Suttisarn, Bkk. Would like to get a weekender in Pattaya.

Soundman.

In Pattaya you're better of with a hard-ender than with a weekender :D:o:D

Kabinburi is "factory park zone". Kabinburi is on the 304 Road in Prachinburi Province - 170km's from Bkk, 180km's from Pattaya, 140km's from Korat & about 110km's from Arunyaprathet.

Cheers.

Hello Skippy,

I live in the small, but up and coming beach resort Khao Lak, Phangnga province, just north of Phuket.

Interesting thread, I have thought about initiating a thread about this.

Why don't you kick in a poll that roughly runs like this:

Do you live in

1) Bangkok

2) Pattaya

3) Chiang Mai

4)Phuket

5)Hua Hin/Cha am

6) Koh Samui

7) a smaller touristy place such as Ao Nang (Krabi) , Koh Phangaan , Koh Lanta or Chiang Rai

8) a non touristy city such as Suphanburi or Chumporn or Si Saket

9) a village or completely out in the sticks.

Thank you - learn something new every day - I only know where Prachinburi is, as I had to look it up on the map last week. :o

Seemed to have lots of waterfalls, so was imagining it to be a bit more scenic than factory park zone. :D

No probs. :D Waterfalls only get turned on for about 3 months per year, but they are worth a day trip! :D

Ok... we will set a poll for getting this benchmarked in TV.

I dont think I want to type the 72 provinces 1 by one, so I though categories of i.e.

Most probable:-

Bangkok

Phuket Island

Pattaya / Jomtien

Hua Hin / Cha Am

Chiang Mai / Chiang Rai

Rayong

And if people dont live close to them then

Central Thailand ( think it stretches from Kanchaburi thru to Cambodian border )

North Thailand

North East Thailand

South ( that leggy thing going south of Hua Hin )

Any other area's ? Cant go down to the level of Nakorn Nowhere, or Non Hin Hae :o

Cheers

Nakhon Sawan has a lot of Farang. I know it is central Thailand but still a major hub between North & South.

Not a bad place to live :D
