snoop1130 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Thailand's pet food exports have surged by approximately 31% in the first nine months of the year, generating around 80 billion baht, according to the Commerce Ministry’s Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO). The demand for premium dog and cat food drove this growth, with these segments contributing a striking 71 billion baht, marking a 39% increase from last year. "The pet food sector has experienced significant growth, especially in dog and cat food exports," stated TPSO Director General Poonpong Naiyanapakorn. While canine and feline food sales flourished, other pet food products saw a slight decline, down by 8%, totalling about 9 billion baht. Thailand's pet food success is spreading globally, with key markets including the United States, Japan, Italy, Australia, and the Philippines. In 2022, Thailand was the fourth-largest pet food exporter, claiming an 8% share of the global market, surpassing nations like the UK and India but trailing behind leaders Germany, the US, and France. The global pet care market, which encompasses food, products, and services, reached a substantial value of US$280 billion (9.5 trillion baht) in 2022. Analysts predict an annual growth rate of 7%, with the sector expected to reach US$550 billion (18.7 trillion baht) by 2032. This growth reflects a shift in pet ownership attitudes, with animals increasingly viewed as family members, driving businesses to capitalise on this evolving dynamic. ModdaPunk Posted November 12 Posted November 12 That's why you should feed your cats and dogs raw meat.
FlorC Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Well that is a big surprize . Cat food is really bad in Thailand. All stinky fish. Limited choice , all the same from wiskas, friskies or the unknown brands from the supermarkets (that stink even more). My cats don't like it very much. I don't blame them. Brought some from europe , and they loved it. Raw meat is a hazard . Still looking for jingjoks and mice in a can. 🙂

FlorC Posted November 13 Posted November 13 The latest from whiskas is more soup/sauce in those 80 gr packages than something to chew on. Their sheba even worse. So much better in europe.

Cat food is really bed and toxic here My cat developed kidney disease thanks local food. Again - there's no cat food available in most of Europe. #FAKENEWS

I went to a Swiss quack today off Thepprasit. He charged me 1100 THB for 2 nurses to syringe an ear with hydrogen peroxide. Fantastic. You obviously haven't a clue either. If they do, why don't you try one for one of your imagined ailments? Try Bob Martin for fleas. You seem to be itching to have a go. Edited November 13 by bradiston 1
