Does anyone have the contact details of a 'professional' expert in Australia for Centrelink procedures,  in particular International Social Security agreements.

I will eventually contact Centrelink, but need to know the right questions to ask.

This is not Thailand specific, apologies.

Thanks

There's a toll free number for Centrelink.  You get though pretty quickly.

I gave up after 20 minutes and have read wait times can be in the hours.

I'm currently trying to get a CRN (Customer Reference Number) so I can access Centrelink through MyGov. It's taken me a week to complete the necessary 'MyID' identifications to qualify for the that application, so I can generate a 'linking code' to access Centrelink.

It seems a difficult and cumbersome process requiring MyGov to be open on the computer and MyID open on a mobile phone so they can 'talk to each other' and generate the necessary link codes.

I finally had some success and was directed to an online form to fill out some extra information apparently needed by Centrelink. I completed the form and was just about to click 'submit' when I got a message saying I had 'timed out' and was locked out of 'MyID' for 24 hours....

If you can find an expert who can fix things for you with Centrelink, they are worth every penny

On a visit to Australia I went to Centrelink office to enquire about pension on my return. I was told I need to call their international services. If any help it is:-

The phone number for Centrelink International Services is +61 3 6222 3455. You can call this number Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM AEDT

The number is probably charged and you can have a long wait in a queue. By the time you get answered you are out of load

There are a few apps which give cheap international calls. I have used Talk360 to call OZ from the Philippines successfully.

What is your issue?  What are you hoping to achieve?

Probably still cheaper than paying an agent, especially with a decent VOIP provider.  Put it on speaker, sit back and wait.

And then hope for the best.
