At midnight on November 21, rescue workers in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, rushed to the scene of an incident, where a pickup truck had plunged into the Suvarnabhumi water canal in Bang Pla Subdistrict. The rescue operation was launched following a distress call from the Samut Prakan Rescue Centre reporting a vehicle submerged in the canal with the driver trapped inside.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found that several witnesses had already dived in, broken the truck’s windows and pulled the driver out of the water. The man, who had been submerged for several minutes, was in critical condition. Rescue workers promptly coordinated with Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital’s emergency team to transfer the victim for urgent medical treatment.

According to one of the good Samaritans, the accident occurred when the pickup truck driver lost control, rolled over, and plunged into the canal. Witnesses quickly sprang into action, diving into the water, breaking the truck’s windows, and locating the driver. They managed to pull him out of the submerged vehicle and bring him to the shore while awaiting the arrival of rescue personnel.

Police investigators from Bang Phli Police Station have begun examining the scene and interviewing witnesses to determine the cause of the crash. No identification documents were found on the driver, and authorities are working to trace the vehicle’s ownership to contact the man’s relatives.
