The problem is that it very likely mentions men and women, rather than male and female.  If it was male and female, trans athletes would be out of luck, as someone born male remains male.

Strikes me that this all a manufactured controversy designed to deflect from what a bad job the US government is doing ( it seems a peculiarly US controversy ). If people are occupied with men playing on a women's team, they ain't complaining about their deteriorating circumstances. Same goes for MMCC, covid and other irrelevances.

The BBC give them the womens footballer of the year award despite being banned from playing football in the Africa cup of nations for failing gender eligibility tests of course.  It's been a rough few decades for the patriarchy with those pesky (actual) women getting equal rights and all that, but men have finally found a workaround using the classic "if you can't beat them join them" technique.  Go patriarchy!

But then some people transition and they exist as human beings as well.

Of course a person born female is not the same as a transgender female but again transgender females exist in the world.

We're talking specifically about sports here, and trans women having an unfair advantage in women's sports. 

Do you agree that a man who now identifies as a woman has an advantage over born women in sports? 

 

If you do agree then surely you don't need to be defending the trans side of the argument. 

 

If you don't agree, then please explain why trans men don't make it to the top level of men's sports.
