Minivan Driver Killed Instantly in Horrific Crash with Lorry
Picture from responders. A minivan driver was killed in a collision on Asia Highway in Bang Pahan District, Ayutthaya Province, after being struck by a trailer truck while inspecting the rear door of his vehicle. Police Captain Chaiwat Thippayasot, investigation officer at Bang Pahan Police Station, was notified of the fatal incident involving a staff transport minivan and a heavy goods vehicle at kilometre marker 36 in Bang Nang Ra Subdistrict. Emergency responders from the Phutthaisawan Foundation were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, authorities found a white Toyota minivan, registration number from Ayutthaya, lying on the roadside with damage to both the side and rear end. The vehicle bore grim testament to the force of the impact. The body of Mr. Kriengsak Sukplang, 42, the driver, was discovered on the road. He had suffered extensive injuries and dismemberment, with body parts scattered across the carriageway. A female passenger, Ms. Temduen Trirotchanee, 36, sustained minor injuries and was found visibly shaken. An employee at a factory in the Hi-Tech Industrial Estate in Bang Pa-In, she recounted that the driver had pulled over to check the rear door, which appeared to be improperly closed. Moments later, a deafening crash occurred, and the minivan veered off the road. When she stepped out to investigate, she discovered the horrific aftermath. An eyewitness, Mr. Sakda Kraithong, 48, a local roti vendor, described the scene. He observed the van parked on the roadside as the driver walked to the back. Suddenly, a trailer truck travelling in the middle lane swerved violently to the left and struck the driver with immense force. The victim was thrown into the path of the vehicle and run over. The truck driver did not stop and fled the scene. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and gathering witness statements in a bid to track down the driver of the trailer truck, who is expected to face criminal charges. The deceased’s body remains have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pathum Thani. -- 2025-04-17 -

How sad for you,in my case there were hardships and rewards by my hard work and a good marriage we succeeded .we now share our time between Thailand and the states .we own all our property’s free and clear I have a sizable shop we’re I build all kinds of fun stuff.but then again I had the good fortune to be born in America were this is possible.many of us see Trump putting this at risk ……we ain’t happy about it.things might have been different if there was competency at the helm ……I put it to you that many erstwhile trump supporters are starting to realize it now.anyway my experiences in the states are far different from yours obviously.its my Ernest wish and we all get through this mess. -

Tragic End to Songkran: Teen Fatally Shot in Phichit Province

Police have arrested the 18-year-old son of a local council candidate in Wang Sai Phun District, Phichit Province, following the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old vocational student during Songkran celebrations. The incident occurred at approximately 23:30 on 16 April, near a bend on the bypass road leading to the Moonoi Hotel in Moo 3, Khlong Khachen Subdistrict, Mueang Phichit District. The victim, Thanachot, had been celebrating the final day of the Songkran festival with friends at “Khao Tang Road” in Khlong Khachen. After the festivities, he stopped his motorcycle to urinate, at which point an assailant approached and shot him in the left arm. The bullet penetrated his torso, and he later died from his injuries at Phichit Hospital. In the early hours of 17 April, at around 02:00, Phichit police, led by Pol. Col. Lakk Rattanathavorn and Pol. Lt. Col. Suphawat Phuna, apprehended the two suspects at a residence in Wang Sai Phun Subdistrict. The shooter was identified as Thanawat, 18, the son of a candidate for a municipal council seat in Wang Sai Phun. His accomplice and the motorcycle driver was identified as Phichyut, 17. Police seized a modified .38 calibre BB revolver used in the attack, which still contained a spent shell casing in its chamber. Officers also confiscated the grey-black Honda motorcycle used in the crime. Both suspects confessed to the killing. According to the initial investigation, the motive stemmed from Thanawat’s secret communication with the victim’s girlfriend. Thanachot reportedly confronted Thanawat online, expressing anger and threatening to take action. When Thanawat learned that Thanachot was attending the Songkran celebrations, he and Phichyut followed him to the event. After spotting Thanachot riding pillion on a friend’s motorbike, the suspects overtook the pair and waited ahead. When Thanachot’s motorbike approached, Thanawat fired a single shot at close range, causing the victim to collapse in front of his companion. The suspects then fled the scene but were later tracked down by police. Authorities have charged both young men with: 1. Murder 2. Illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition 3.
