Police in Huai Rai, Den Chai District, Phrae Province, responded to a gruesome murder on December 5, involving a 75-year-old father, who was killed by his own son on Father's Day.

Police Lieutenant Nattawut Maneekas, the investigating officer from Huai Rai Police Station, received the report of the incident, which occurred at a residence in Ban Huai Pak Thot, Moo 2, Huai Rai Subdistrict. Officers and rescue volunteers from Den Chai Ruam Boon Foundation immediately rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities found the lifeless body of Mr. Thuanthong Sreeamporn, 75, lying on his back in a pool of blood at the entrance to the house. A subsequent examination revealed he had sustained eight wounds inflicted by a sharp object, likely an axe. The injuries included two wounds to the back of the head, two to the forehead, one to the lip, one to his right thigh, and one on his neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations identified the perpetrator as Mr. Wutthisak Sreeamporn, 50, the victim's son. Following the attack, Mr. Wutthisak fled the scene. However, police were able to apprehend him nearby.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the motive for the horrific act.

That is not just a murder.

That is the result of a frenzied attack.

Very sad.
