Ask your agent if anything can be done for needing wife to attend for 60 day extension (due to work)

That extension to visit wife would buy time..

Yeah but during covid you could only get 30 or 45 days. Now its 60 days visa exempt which is why it costs more.

That's right, but what sort of profit are the visa country making? Quite a bit I'll bet.

Can I do this anywhere, she is working in Pha ngan so maybe I could go to the immigration near there to get this.

You apply for extension where you are living.

Immigration would require a TM30.

Your situation is little different.

Thinking best for you to deal with current permission of stay ending Dec 17.

That entry will provide a 60 day stamp.

Putting the extension to visit wife aside, you can obtain a 30 day extension to the visa exempt entry.

That gives you 3 months to arrange things.

At some point you can apply for a Non O marriage.

Your issue is  wife working a long way from you.

For non O your wife needs to be present.

Likewise for home visit

We did it one time and they didn't visit our home, they also said they would inform a bit in advance, so I could ask her a day off, she will be much more available after March, would be good if I could extend until then.

So the plan here is:

- Pass the border on 17 with agency and get visa exempt (2 months)

- Extend visa exempt (1 month)

- Visit my wife (2 months), if Ratchaburi then need to move residence (TM30)

- Non-O based on marriage (extension?)

As my visa expired on 28 August and that I will get visa exempt, am I allowed to still make an extension?

Finally it's 1500 to move stamp and they ask 2500 on top of the 4000 because apparently they need to cut my visa to be able to cross the border. They talked about tourist visa, they will check Monday with their guy at the immigration. I don't have much choice now, damn.

Ridiculous.  Who is they?  Did you go to immigration yourself?  It should be free to transfer your stamps.

I don't understand your posts.

Good luck with border bounce.

Yes doesn't make sense to me too but that's what they told me, let see what they say tomorrow. Maybe they play on my fear to get more money.

At this point would it be better to try single entry in Savannaket? Maybe I need another topic if there is no update on the process in Savannaket. Need to book now and do they require proof of fund for single entry?

You won't get an appointment at Savannakhet prior to Dec 17..

The agency yesterday said that maybe I should use a flight but someone said in this thread that it would be even less likely to pass by flight. Dr Jack do you think I have more chance by flight or by land?

So that's not an option right now. It could be one if the non O extension is not possible anymore, depending of my border run.

Regarding the funds do they require it for single entry? Any update here?

Flight would have been an option either by using an agent for "safe entry" meet and greet at airport OR by way of excuse ..state the truth.

You plan to obtain non O.

You ran out of time to gather documents for extension.

However it's already 15th. All a bit too late

I asked them but they say they don't do this for flight. There is still flight available, I can book at the last minute. I can try by land and of rejected try to come back by flight. Would paying the officer a fee be a possibility? With explanation given.

Also the agency may have option but the tourist visa look quite shady, I don't understand how they would do this, at worse I can do this and then go to Savannaket to get a non O, with proof of fund and everything. Agency said it would cost me 2500 on the top of the 4000 for the trip. Tomorrow I will see their answer and could ask another agency too, maybe they have better contact at the border.
