Hi All,

I'm staying in Vietnam now but am planning to

go back to Thailand early next year to renew my

passport. The process will take a few weeks. I'm

planning to stay in my Thai friend's near BKK then.

I've lived in Thailand for 10 years on a Non-B but

the landlords would always submit the TM30 to

the Immigration Offices for me but I've never

done that by myself before, to be honest.

Could you please tell me how to do it by yourself?

I can imagine having to go to the Immigration Office

to collect a form and go back there to submit it after

filling it out. Will they charge you for it? I heard that

you must get it done within the 24hrs of entering

Thailand; otherwise you'll get fined for not doing it.

Thank you in advance.

Assume you will enter Thailand visa exempt.

What business (if any) would you be having with immigration..

Yes, I'm going to enter Thailand on visa-exemption.

I'm just coming back to see my Thai friends near BKK.

I would usually not do a TM30 just to see them but I'll

have to go to the immigration office to get my Thai

entry stamp transferred from the old passport to the

new passport. That's what I've done before.

Here is thread. The OP also entered visa exempt.

Just take both pp to airport on departure.

BTW: I live in Thailand on extensions and recently renewed pp and attended CW for transfer of stamps.

I did not have a TM30

That's useful information, thank you!

When I last got my 1-year extension on my Non-B transferred

from my old passport to my new passport, I had to pay 500B

for it with no receipt.

Yes, I'm going to enter Thailand on visa-exemption this time so

all I'll have to do is just bring both my old and new passports to

Passport Control before leavning Thailand, isn't it? Can I do that

at the land borders, too?

Yes just both passports to airport.

Land borders not so simple.

If exit via land border best to transfer at CW.
