Chaos in Canada following Freelands exit
What ? The number 2 resigned right before the budget was about to expose the corruption ? Then it's so calm that the next in line resigned immediately after. Yes just another day in a stable political scene. You should go back to the I support razor blade Biden threads. It's no surprise he wants a UN job. That's been known for years now. -

Officer in Thailand Declines Promotion, Citing Buddhist Philosophy
File photo for reference only In an unusual move, Inspector Pisan of Lamae Police Station in Thailand has formally declined consideration for promotion, citing philosophical reasoning drawn from Buddhist teachings. His decision, communicated in a letter dated 13 December, challenges typical pursuit of career advancement, opting instead for a more contemplative approach as he nears retirement. Pisan, currently at the lowest rank of his seniority list, expressed that his skills do not yet qualify him for higher responsibilities and highlighted his retirement plans for 2024. The officer’s choice follows a provincial directive urging performance reports for the upcoming annual promotion cycle. His letter reflects not only personal introspection but also Buddhist wisdom, including thoughts from renowned monk Buddhadasa Bhikkhu: “People today strive for what they do not have, and in the end, everyone receives the same thing: nothing.” Furthermore, he invoked a proverb on the transience of youth and happiness. Pisan's decision has stirred conversation within and outside the police community, serving as a reminder of deeper values that transcend professional ambition in a highly hierarchical field. It underscores broader philosophical considerations in personal and career choices, marking a thought-provoking perspective in an age of relentless progression. -- 2024-12-19 -

Trump’s big fat abject lie …and why he keeps telling it.
If we're no longer talking about Trump's endorsement of the vaccine, but instead the virus itself, the problem with all the "science" on it, and I use that word loosely, is because the WHO never made an actual reference sample of the virus available. Because of this, none of the tests could ever be incontrovertibly verified by multiple, independent labs, and everything that followed from that is fruit of a poisoned tree. If anyone wanted to research anything, it either had to be done through digital models, questionable data provided by unproven tests, or they had to isolate the virus themselves. But isolating the virus independently means nobody can ever be sure what they were isolating, or refute any results. All of those studies again became questionable because they are not falsifiable. You simply have to trust what was being said. That's religion, not science. The whole response to the pandemic was intentionally designed to make it impossible to falsify. Real science is NEVER approached in that manner. So why was a reference sample never made available? Because they wanted to present fraudulent, untestable results, or because it really was a bioweapon that they didn't want getting out in its pure form? You can argue all you want about politics, but this was a deliberate, irrefutable action by the WHO and CDC which is absolutely unacceptable given the scale of the response inflicted on humanity. That includes unconscionable coercing billions to get an experimental jab. This is why there must be Nuremberg 2.0 trials against all those involved. And yes, that includes Trump's role in it. -

New Chang Beer
I think it was just over the 100 baht. (109ish?). I do not usually pay much more than that for a beer. As you say- the Dunkel is quite good (54 baht) and Tops has some Tawandang IPA in a large can at 60 baht. 54 baht for a small can. The Tawangang is 5.5%. (Fourth shelf in my previous photo.) After drinking cheap lagers here for 24 years, I could only manage 2 cans of the Nite Hunter before I started to feel the hit - big time. -

Here's what happens when the world's richest man buys the presidency
Me, loser of what, I lose nothing because I am not American, I just post on things I have witnessed......🤗 Including interviews with red ball-cap voters, of which many were hilarious........... Trumps performances were mainly hilarious, of course from an outsider's point of view, but it could be deemed normal to you Americans...🤗 -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
That's insane, sorry to hear that. I've never heard of a Thai consulate not accepting a Thai bank account (for any visa).
