Thailand braces for cold spell with mountain lows of 5 degrees

I discovered, fairly recently that we actually live in the coldest region in Thailand. Sakon Nakhon's lowest recorded temperature was -1.4oC in 1974!

The long sleeved jerseys an woolly hats are out already and I'll be digging out our thickest duvet before too long. It's great for walking though. I love this time of the year.

Would have actually been nice to open the windows for the cool breeze... but that would have exposed you to an even higher chance of lung cancer...

Off topic but here's our air quality this morning.

I'm off for my walk right now.

Enjoy. Here AQI just dropped from near 200 at 8 am to about 120 now. Better but not exactly healthy.

In the big village up the road here in Kamphaeng Phet province the AQI is 88, the outside temperature is 28.1C. The OAT at 06:00 was 16.2C.

It was cold enough to put a shirt on this morning.
