I visited a graveyard in Isan province.

I also think graveyards are interesting and great places to pop in and visit.

Was this a specifically Christian graveyard or mixed? I note all bar one of the foreigner headstones are made in the same style. Perhaps the same person is footing the bill or just the same headstone maker is used.

I recently visited a Chinese cemetery in Sri Racha. I was having a whale of a time looking at the gravestones and admiring the scenery (water in front; hills at the back; all very Chinese) when a pack of around 8 nasty dogs appeared out of nowhere. I had to make a hasty retreat.

Beautiful post thankyou

I also love graveyards and didn't know they actually buried people in Thailand.

Roger seemed to be the only guy to die young in his early 60's compared to the others 80's

I too was nearly attacked by a group of dogs back in 2018 walking through a Isaan graveyard

I could hear them in the distance barking probably calling each other

I was only saved when a gardener came towards me scaring the dogs off

Here's a fascinating Chinese cemetery just outside of Kanchanaburi.  The satellite photo doesn't come close to doing justice to the size and scale of it.

Of course, my favorite graveyards to visit there are the Allied War Cemeteries near the Bridge on the River Kwai.
